Aroma is straw, wild yeasts, and clove. Taste is a pleasant sweet fruitiness of dark fruits. Some nice Belgian sugars and crisp maltiness. Finishes with a pleasant bitterness. Appearance is a gold / orange with some haziness and thin sediment in suspension.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2014 Bottle@home. No head or carbonation. Yellow slight hazy. White bread. Some fruity. Heavy smooth body. No bitterness. The lack of carbonation pulls this rating down. Rerated 24/8-14. So much better with carbonation. Floral notes. Sweet sour taste dry ending.

Net zoals de andere Vicaris-bieren die ik geprobeerd heb ook weer een bier met een hele goede smaak

Bottle from Den Zytholoog, Maldegem. Hazy yellow/golden colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Typical Belgian tripel, medium sweet with fruity nose, light bitter hoppy finish. Decent tripel.

33 cl bottle at home into a tulip. Aroma is a subtle, sweet blend of yeast, bread and fruit (apricot?). Appearance - blond ale, tight white head. Taste is sweet as to be expected, but with a nice bitterness to follow. Medium bodied with an average carbonation makes this one slip down really easily. Long finish that is bitter but not overpowering. Overall I am impressed. In a world where tripels abound, this has moved into being right up there in my top few beers. Very nice indeed.

Trübes goldenes Bier mit schöner stabilen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen Früchten, hefig, würzig. Geschmack süß malzig, würzig, hefig, Gewürze, leicht alkoholisch.

750ml ($12.95) An extremely smooth abbey triple. The taste is comparable to most other high end abbey ales. a very well balanced beer and has little to no sediment. Fairly uncommon to find in the states so if you spot it try it out. I would buy again.

Tripel? seems a bit light for that but that being said this was an easy drinker that poured light yellow with a big pure white head. yeast and apples in the aroma with a yeasty lemony apple taste. alcohol came through a bit but not overbearing. CO2 seemed high and body is light, not bad not mindblowing just good.

Bottled from speciaalbierpakket.nl, BB 29/10/16, large sample, served in a trappist glass. Hazy golden color, big frothy lasting off-white head. Aroma of grainy malts, some mashed apples, slight spicy. Bit sweet, slight flowery bitterness, bit spicy. Finishes a bit dry, slight metallic hint. Medium to high carbonation, thin to medium bodied. Seems to have a bit of oxidation with the metallic notes and mashed apples. Bit disappointing actually from this brewery, maybe should retry.

330mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Nose brings out pears, oxidation, cardboard, yeast soup and some earthy mustiness. Flavour brings out notes of pears, apple, Belgian yeast and some oxidation (it’s a new-ish bottle). Quite yeasty, musty and highly carbonated. Certainly not one of the better, more complex tripels out there, but it’s drinkable enough. Decent.
