Bottle @ the brewery. Pours dark brown, almost black. Head is coffee latte in color. Nose and aroma of burnt malts, coffee and licorice. Well balanced, good palate. Medium carbonation.

10% On tap at Luppolo 12 at the end of the night, an opaque muddy brown with a minimal head and a boozy sweet malt nose. The taste was the same but too be honest by this point my taste buds were probably shot. Middle of the road Belgian Christmas beer.

Pours opaque deep amber with a fat finger of light tan head excellent retention patchy lacing. (4/5) Nose is liquorice, dark boozy fruits, brown sugar, toffee, spices. (8/10) Taste is moderately strong sweet, mild bitter. (8/10) Medium body to full body, prickly to moderate sustained carbonation, and a mildly spicy boozy finish. (5/5)
Excellent BDSA with well-behaved warming from the spices and the high ABV. Seems to have aged rather nicely, with mellow flavours. A nice winter evening sipper. (16/20)

Black/brown beer white a big white head. Taste is koffee, caramel, nice bitter and lots of herbs. Good strong beer with a good long afthertaste.

Clear dark brown colour, beige head. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, brown sugar, spicy. Sweet malty flavour, caramel, light metallic. Finish roasted malts, burnt caramel, light winter spices. Lingering sweet. Rather nice winter beer.

Bottle @ home. Etichettata come "winter 2014". Colore ramato scuro, quasi marrone ma con evidenti riflessi rossi. Velata. Schiuma beige fine mediamente persistente. Aroma di media intensità e non troppo complesso, sebbene gradevole. Caramello, liquirizia, porto, spezie (zenzero e coriandolo). Gusto abboccato, quasi amabile. Poco amara, leggermente acida, per via dei malti tostati. Corposa, calda, rotonda e piena. Carbonatazione fine e "pungente". abbastanza equilibrata, indubbiamente armonica.

Poured a dark brown with an of white head. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel malt. Full body, flavour as the aroma, nuts, candy sweetness and soft Belgian yeast.

33cl bottle at home. Dark brown with a small beige head. Full body with low carbonation. Quite sweet with subtle bitterness. Dark chocolate, brown sugar, spices, caramel, some coffee and herbs. A great dark beer for a cold evening.

On tap at café Briljant. Dark with a offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, caramel. Taste is light sweet, roasted malts, bitter chocolate, caramel malts. Bitter chocolate aftertaste. Not bad.

Draft at In De Wildeman. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of licorice, overripe dark fruit, rubber, caramel. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Over medium bodied with light carbonation.

from tap as ABT beer of the month december. poured a dark brown colour with a tanned head. caramel malts, brown sugar, raisins, small chocolate hint, red fruits, figs, spices, caramel dates, fruity aftertaste. very well hidden alcohol. can’t taste the 10%abv at all
