On tap at Saint Bock. Pours a mostly clear copper color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet toasted malts, caramel and candies. The flavor is a rich spicy caramel, seems like a pumpkin brew, smooth and tasty. Easygoing. Decent.

On tap at Vice et Versa. Pours a clear orange with a large creamy white head. Sweet with a touch of cinnamon. Grainy, lightly sweet, toast and faint caramel. Light sweet grainy flavors, faint bitter finish. Mediocre.

Aroma of grains and honey. Has a nice orange body with decent head on top. Taste is smooth malts, with a wet and sweet finish. It’s very drinkable.

A beautiful reddish amber ale with a thick moka head. Aroma of grainy butterscotch malt with light berry notes. In mouth, an oily roasted malt with light nutty notes, British hops, not bad. On tap at V&V, August 15 2010.

Amber with light gold highlights, aromas of yeast and sweet malt. A bit earthy taste with some fruit, just typical fare but nice enough to enjoy!

Draught at Vices et Versa. Pours a clear amber with an average size lasting creamy off-white head. Mild aroma, not much there, some sweetness and grain. Flavour of grain, light floral hops, sweet malt and an average bitter finish. Average bodied. Good for the style.

Draught, at Vices et Versa April 24, 2010. Clear bright refractive coppery amber with an average lasting off-white creamy head (lacing, yet!). Smells sweet, lightly grainy - that "nitro" tang to it ... a bit floral. The taste has much more floral pungency than I expect from a cream ale - sweet malt, but some pungency to it, and not at all boozy ... nothing special, but decent (6+). Average body, a little slick and astringent, weakly carbonated, and an odd almost fruity dry aftertaste - all three of the V&V beers made by B&F had a similar aftertaste. Better than most cream ales, that’s for sure.
