COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Victoria Bitter has been Australia’s favorite full strength beer brand for many years. VB, as it is widely known, was launched in the 1890s and since then has developed a reputation as a great beer with a tradition of rewarding Australians who work and play hard.

The alcohol percentage went down from 4.8% to 4.6% in 2009.

500mL Can from the LCBO. 4.6%. Clear golden pour with a bubbly white head. Aroma is adjunct-laden, sweet malts. Hints of corn, grassiness, and a slight hop presence. Light bodied, crisp bubbly mouthfeel. Not much for the palate, just a plain, grainy macro lager.

0.375 l bottle. Golden color. The aromas of malt, malt husk, apple and grass. Dryish, malty and toasty flavor with caramel, cardboard and low bitterness. Dull grainy-cardboardy finish.

Can from the lcbo. Dark golden pour with a big white head. Aroma of cheap grains and loads of corn and some. Light grassiness. Flavor is more sweet cloying corn. The finish is bitter with lots of minerals and more freaking nasty corn.

Bottle. Pours clear medium gold with a short lasting head. Taste is medium bitter with some sweetness in aftertaste. Palate has light body. Aromas are very mild, cereal, hint of grass, on th plus-side there is no off-taste.

I am trying to be constructive. This pours yellow with white foam. Cheesy aroma. A little below average mouthfeel. A little malt in taste, near metallic. The taste is authentic wet cardboard. undrinkable.

I tried this beer on July 19, 2010 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent reddish-gold with no cap. The aroma was sour malt, nuts, and metal. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with very little carbonation. The flavour was gross. Musky malt, sour, and acidic.

Malty, syrupy aroma. Nice thick texture in the mouth. Not particularly bitter in flavour.
