1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 pootzboy (1284) - Hawgville, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 27, 2010
Can sampled cold and sipped as it warmed to 50DegF
Poured a clear gold liquid in the glass, must give a hard pour to get a 1 finger rocky cap, even that vanishes quickly and laces weakly.
Aroma is faint but as it warms you get cane sugar sweetness, some hop grassiness..overall smells like sweet wet cardboard...totally over processed sterile extract brew smell.
Weak thin body, virtually no lager character.
Sweetish with weak husk-graininess and a whack of rough phenolic-sulfury-acidic green beer tastes, watery weak finish some hop after taste from POringwood hops (extract?).
Overall a cheap, over processed adjunct laden beverage that approximates beer flavor. I’m told ’VB’ stand for ’vomiting bogans’ in Oz vernacular...seems like the demographic this weak green piss would appeal to.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JesseM (918) - Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 27, 2010
500mL can from my Lickbo. Pours a nice straw gold with a medium white head. Aroma is of cereal grains and tinny hops, not that bad actually, nothing too off or adjuncty. Flavour is even nicer, macro grainy sweetness met really well with some peppery hop zing and good bitterness. Zero aftertaste! This stuff actually hits the spot very well on a humid Sunday afternoon. I enjoy the occasional novelty over-sized Fosters can as well, so I guess I just like macro Aussie beer?
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 MesandSim (7108) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 27, 2010
A Mes rate. Bottle thanks (thanks?) to the Cad. Drinking this to celebrate yet another disgraceful England perfomance. Quite what the Cad was thinking bringing 6 bottles of this over I simply do not know. But here it is in front and rate it I must. EMILE F**KING HESKEY??? ARE YOU SERIOUS CAPELLO??? Oh well, 4-1, England are shite. Anyway, the beer. This is a performance of of such comically bad proportions it almost puts the football to shame. Almost. Corn, sulphur and slight pukey malt on the nose. The flavour is not quite so bad, although it contains all the same shockingly bad elements. Oh there is some sweet cardboard too. Erm... yeah I’m done. Arse.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 markas101 (1439) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 25, 2010
473 ml can, Mulmur, ON, Canada. Very carbonated, thick frothy head that disappears totally in seconds. Mixed sweet and pepper aroma, weak watery taste with some bite at the end. Turns sour with a few seconds aftertaste.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 MrManning (1942) - London, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 23, 2010
A slightly deep shade of gold. Has a medium frothy cap that does leave some lace.
A simple nose of weak grains, some honey, and faint grassy hops. It is clean though.
Tastes similar, a bit sweet. Grainy and faintly grassy, almost gritty towards the finish with a floral aftertaste that leaves a tongue tingle. Light medium body.Overall, an average but clean lager that should please the masses.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 vanDahl (9) - Churchill, AUSTRALIA - JUN 16, 2010 does not count
Bottle. Poured light straw colour with thin and quickly diminishing head. Aroma of stale hops and some grass. Metalic taste on the tongue making way for corn starch notes. Over carbonated with little bitterness to speak of.
