COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Victoria Bitter has been Australia’s favorite full strength beer brand for many years. VB, as it is widely known, was launched in the 1890s and since then has developed a reputation as a great beer with a tradition of rewarding Australians who work and play hard.

The alcohol percentage went down from 4.8% to 4.6% in 2009.

Rating #400, entered. ON tap @ Holiday Inn Sydney. . Yup, a pale lager, and guess what it tastes like a pale lager , this one has some grassy sweetness to it, but its boring anyway.

375 ml bottle. Newport, Wales. Golden colour with medium head. Bitter and malty aroma. Slightly bitter lager, not really a bitter. I guess this should be served cold.

A pale flavour beer on the bitter side. Nothing extraordinary about it. Doesn’t gel easily with the palate. A bit of a bore.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2009 VB may be swill ,but its honest. CUB try and pass their Crown Lager as being highgrade, when its the same beer as this .

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2009 Pale straw coloured. Very little head to speak of... Mild sweet malt taste on the palate. Hell it’s just a good hot summer days beer, to get it in ya!

This pretty much what they had at every bar in Australia. Unfortunately I had to drink this while watching the Superbowl in the airport at 10am on a Monday morning. It is just wrong watching the Superbowl when everyone around you doesn’t care and is drinking coffee. But back to the beer...it pours gold and tastes like an American Macro...crappy. Enjoy.
