3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 23, 2003 I confess to a personal prejudice on this one. It was the first beer I ever drank, being introduced to it by my brother. It is still one of the best beers when you have - as the ad says - "a hard-earned thirst". Goes down pleasantly, easily and quickly. One of the few lagers that doesn't turn on you no matter how much of it you drink.

This is a perfect beer: perfects "2s" for my rating. Smells a little fart-like. Light gold color and a surprisingly reasonable taste given the nose on this thing. Thin body. I paid WAY too much for this: 1.85 Euro (about $1.85 at the time of purchase) for a .33 liter can.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Yuck! Skunky and citrus-y aroma. Yellow and no head, not much to say about this beer, but the flavor left me look like a chimpanzee with showing its teeth!

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pale gold clear under a small short lasting head that still manages to generate some lace. Bitter sappy woody hops aroma. Medium rawish metallic bitter palate with a touch of corn syrup sweetness. Start has some character and is decently carbonated but a weak middle, and hint of paint thinner finish and after taste are disappointing.

Decent lager, but not much of a bitter. Drinkable nontheless.

Best of beers I tired during my trip to Australia. I must say it’s better than our cheap beers over here. Wish it was sold in the U.S.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: APR 13, 2003 Bottled: Lager, with not much character. Has some bitterness, but it is way too waterish and uninteresting.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: JAN 10, 2003 Surely intended to quench one"s thirst. Looks like the average lager with a white and quickly dissipating head. The initial flavour did NOT please me, but the finish is better: some hop bitterness with an almost fruity character. Still we need some serious global warming before I feel like buying this again here in Denmark!

I agree with Oakes on this one. A middle of the road Aussie lager.
