Victoria Bitter has been Australia’s favorite full strength beer brand for many years. VB, as it is widely known, was launched in the 1890s and since then has developed a reputation as a great beer with a tradition of rewarding Australians who work and play hard.

The alcohol percentage went down from 4.8% to 4.6% in 2009.

Aroma is rather weak and grainy but not unpleasant. Taste of grains and grass. Slightly bitter finish. It is not too bad.

From Saveur-Biere. In Teku glass. After dinner. Biterness reminds cruzcampo, but its more tasty and malty, with some wet herbal notes. Pretty drinkable.

I would rather get my next drink directly from an angry Tasmanian Devil’s tit than drink this swill ever again. It tastes and smells like that sewer fermentation smell you get down in Melbourne docklands in the morning, from the Vegemite factory. Almost the worst beer in the world, but I’m from Canada where you have OV and Labatt’s Blue to compete for that title.

375ml can. Pour light golden color with a decent white head. Head fades quickly. No intense aromas; malt, bread, nutty. Slightly grass-like bitter taste. Refreshing beer for summer time

Bottleshare at Lancaster Gate. Thanks to Leighton. Clear pale gold beer, a few white bubbles not being a head. Smooth palate, low carbonation. Sweetish pale malts.and sweet floralness. Light semi dry finish. Mild bitter linger. A tired tasting and looking beer.

It is an average lager. One of the first beer that I tried in Australia. The body is yellow and clear, average carbonation, white and thin foam, malty, grainy, few hop.

38cl bottle shared at Leighton’s May tasting. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. It pours a clean pale golden color with a minimal white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy starchy, with notes of caramel and biscuit. Taste is also sweet and grainy starchy with more notes of caramel and biscuit. Light bodied with OK carbonation. Overall, meh
