Victoria Bitter has been Australiaís favorite full strength beer brand for many years. VB, as it is widely known, was launched in the 1890s and since then has developed a reputation as a great beer with a tradition of rewarding Australians who work and play hard.

The alcohol percentage went down from 4.8% to 4.6% in 2009.

Aroma: it smells like any other soul-less macro, corny, sweet but with an added hint of banana. Not offensive, but not enticing. Taste: possibly the blandest, most watery and insipid beer I have yet sampled. I couldnít finish the 330ml bottle because it was bloating me and I was about to eat dinner.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours amber-brown, viscous with white coloured single finger head. Aroma of bread, biscuit, slight metallic. Taste is bready, biscuity, with a touch of metallic at the end. Ok..

375ml bottle. Pale pissy golden yellow colour with almost no head. Sweet malt aroma, light grain. Flavour is mostly just the sweet malt as well, some faint grain and metallic notes too... but itís not that bad actually. No bitterness to speak of though. Soft carbonation and watery texture. Yeah itís nothing special but itís drinkable, better than expected knowing all the bad ratings.

A sweet malt aroma, with a hint of bread, pours a clear gold color with heavy carbonation and a foamy white head. A sweet taste with a hint of malt. Refreshing and easy to drink with a light body and a slightly sweet malt finish.

Can. Light golden, small and mostly diminishing head. Light, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, light - some metal. Body is light, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, light metal.Finish is short, malty lightly grainy and lightly sweetish, light - some metal and faint hoppyness. Watery and sweetish lager with notes of sharp metal. Australians who work and play hard deserve better beer than this.

Had countless times years back, this time from a 250ml bottle. Smells of grain, musty and metallic notes. Taste is quite watery with a harsh bitterness. As it warms I detect malt, but the fizz makes it hard to enjoy. It was pretty hard to get through even a small bottle, once my thirst was quenched I had no desire to taste any more.
