COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Victoria Bitter has been Australia’s favorite full strength beer brand for many years. VB, as it is widely known, was launched in the 1890s and since then has developed a reputation as a great beer with a tradition of rewarding Australians who work and play hard.

The alcohol percentage went down from 4.8% to 4.6% in 2009.

Bottle thanks to Doug. Decent golden hue, small white bubbly head quickly diminishes, small amount of lacing. Faint malt adjunct corn/grain/cereal metal aromas. Moderate to moderate strong bitter - more than most pale lagers, light to medium sweet taste with long duration. Medium body - more than expected, oily texture, soft to average carbonation, long very dry finish. Drinkable on a hot day but on my "don’t need to have that again" list.

Pours golden with medium white head. Aromas of grass, hay, some honey. Sour and bitter taste. Light body, average carbonation. Short bitter finish.

VB (commonly called just ’green’) was once Australia’s most widely popular local brew. Cheaper than most alternatives and heavily marketed, in much the same way Fosters succeed overseas. As for the beer itself, there’s nothing to recommend it at all. Its aroma is reminiscent of a public urinal and the head and the finish are weak and watery.

Tinnie into glass. Lots of white head above dark urine yellow beer. Minimal aroma. Taste mild w some slight bready malt. Slight sweetness in the aftertaste. Not sure I could drink more than 1 or 2 before needing to switch to something better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not ad bad as rated previously, better than most of the Aussie pale lagers, but leans to the watery side.

Red shiny golden color. Weak foam. Malty smell of dry hay and caramel. Taste starts sweet and becomes bitter in the end. Emerald a little bit flat.

Light, malty, and carbonated. Really not special at all. At least the bottle is cool, I guess.

Hält, was es verspricht. Angenehm bitter, leichte Süße, schöne Flasche mit Drehkronkorken. Das passt schon - Flaschenbier halt.

0,375 bottle from beerbottle.eu. Has some strange, unusual taste. I guess I wont drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer has the aroma of an old man’s fart. Watery, tasteless and the only other thing it gives is a horrible headache.

Moudly grass and cut hay aroma. Malty, slightly bitter, some sweet notes like honey, a little spice.
