Aroma is a sweet malt. Taste is a little weak, but some bready malt. Overall decent, but more towards the pale lager world.

Pours off-white head, amber color. Aromas of some bread, light aromas of toasted malt and caramel. Taste is a little bitter and sweet.

One of those low ratings where it isn’t cause it’s bad, just cause it’s got nothing going on. Good, clean tasting Mexican lager....what to go for if you think you like Corona, can’t find a Pacifico, and Bohemia is too heavy.

Given to me by the local Mexican Resturant. Waiter said it was his favorite. Not much aroma, and a weak taste. I didn't like it as much as modela and dos Equis dark. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Not much aroma, at least it didn't skunk. Taste is actually not bad for a 4% lager. Much more like a decent macro light than like a Corona or other cervesa style beer. Served near zero degrees which was nice on a hot day, but the taste held up as it warmed. Recommended over any non-dark Mexican macro. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

29 Jan 2013 and we sail into Huatulco, a purpose built beach resort on Mexico’s pacific coast. The beach bar that gets our custom has four beers to choose from, this being the only one I’d never had before. The weather was hot (92F/44C) and sunny, a light lager was what was needed even if it was only 09.50 in the morning! This wasn’t your usual pale golden colour: this had a deeper hue to it, leaning towards a copper hint to its clear and clean looks (the bright sun light helped to make it look even better), small white head on top. Grainy nose, but not a lot of anything really. Refreshing more than tasty: this doesn’t have any depth of flavours, it does have traces of hops and malts within but it’s supposed to replenish lost liquids in your body not give you a warm, cosy feeling. OK for what it is.

Drake (6503) - Ivy, Virginia, USA - APR 10, 2013
12 ounce bottle from some random grocery store in the Carolinas. Pours a clear dark amber color with a tan fizzy head that fades almost instantly. Some caramel peeks out of the aroma but there is also a lot of the grain, skunk and grass typical of a cheap lager. The taste is tart grain. Thin bodied, slightly watery. Maybe one of the oldest beers from Mexico, but also one of the worst.

Better than Corona, but not as good as Negra Modelo, this is the perfect beer to sip as the bullets are flying around your body while enjoying your vacation in Cancun.
