Slight but not extensive difference from Mexican pale lagers. A little malt in the nose maybe honey backed by grain and grass. Deep golden with a white fizzy head. Slightly sweet yet balanced. Well rounded, light bodied, and a little sweet in the finish.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste sweet, malty. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear, deeper golden, with a very light white head. Light aroma of honey, white bread. Some socks. Lightly bitter, more so than the average pilsner without a ton of sweetness. Hint of stale/sourness in the finish.Reasonably dry finish, very light and watery. Medium carbonation. Meh.

Standard Mexican lager. Light, malty , refreshing and empty.... Only for summer, only if you thirsty.

Fairly clean and highly refreshing but very low on flavors and aromas. A fair bit of adjuncts and very light.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled at a Mexican restaurant. They added the lime...unfortunately. The pour is medium amber with a decent, long lasting head. Aroma of light toasted bread and clean hops. Light body. Mild toasted malt notes with a clean, crisp finish all around. Nothing extraordinary but I drank two of them for dinner.

Pours a clear, light amber with a thin off-white head. The aroma is light malt and a similar flavor that has some apple and a semisweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Where and how: bottle 330? ml TW
Aroma actually quiet pleasant malty character, amber malts, tad soapy, caramel with faint mineral feel.
Appearance :
Top: short lived, larger white top
Base: clear amber.
Palate : medium bodied with thinner walls.
Taste: simple malty worty front. Tad raw in feel. Softer finish (plain).
Other notes drinkable malty southern lager.

In the 60’s maybe 70’s there was Old Reading Beer brewed in Reading, Pennsylvania; this is the closest to the original recipe. A bit of nostalgia for me, however a very ordinary weak brew.

Transfer from BA review on 1-26-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance- Pours a medium amber color with a one finger white head. The head fades relatively quickly, leaving only a light level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell- The aroma is a mix of some bready and grainy smells with a sweet caramel and light grassy aroma. Taste – The taste begins with a grainy and lightly caramel sweetened taste. As the flavors advance, the caramel fades giving way to some corny tastes. The end of the flavor profile brings a very light amount of grassy hop flavor to the tongue leaving a somewhat crisp flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is quite thin in creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the medium side. The thin body mixed with the moderate carbonation makes it a very easy drinking brew. Overall – A pretty easy drinking session style brew. There is nothing great about it but nothing really all that bad. Just a so-so brew.
