Inoffensive, with nothing of note standing out in a good or bad way. This is a good alternative beer on hot days when you need to drink a lot in a short amount of time.

Pours a clear, light amber with a thin off-white head. The aroma is light malt and a similar flavor that has some apple and a semisweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The one I drank is only available in Mexico. I like it a lot. Enjoy drinking it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Where and how: bottle 330? ml TW
Aroma actually quiet pleasant malty character, amber malts, tad soapy, caramel with faint mineral feel.
Appearance :
Top: short lived, larger white top
Base: clear amber.
Palate : medium bodied with thinner walls.
Taste: simple malty worty front. Tad raw in feel. Softer finish (plain).
Other notes drinkable malty southern lager.

In the 60’s maybe 70’s there was Old Reading Beer brewed in Reading, Pennsylvania; this is the closest to the original recipe. A bit of nostalgia for me, however a very ordinary weak brew.

Transfer from BA review on 1-26-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance- Pours a medium amber color with a one finger white head. The head fades relatively quickly, leaving only a light level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell- The aroma is a mix of some bready and grainy smells with a sweet caramel and light grassy aroma. Taste – The taste begins with a grainy and lightly caramel sweetened taste. As the flavors advance, the caramel fades giving way to some corny tastes. The end of the flavor profile brings a very light amount of grassy hop flavor to the tongue leaving a somewhat crisp flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is quite thin in creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the medium side. The thin body mixed with the moderate carbonation makes it a very easy drinking brew. Overall – A pretty easy drinking session style brew. There is nothing great about it but nothing really all that bad. Just a so-so brew.

Pours an orange/amber color with thin white head. I took a whiff and thought it smelled like Heineken (yuck!!) and was ready to be disappointed and thought I wasted 8.00 but was surprised to find it taste like other Mexican beers I have had in the past. At the price I wouldn’t drink this all the time when I can get Monterrey from Aldhi’s for 5.00 which is pretty much the same taste. Not bad, but I’ve had better. I recommend getting it at a bar, or just the bottle, and not a whole 6 pack.

A great beer for a hot summer day. Surprised at some of the other comments, way better than some of the other Mexican imports. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Meh. Could be better, could be worse. Not what one expects from a Mexican brew. Darker orange color with an off white head. Nice bready aroma. But the flavor has some weirdness in it. I can’t explain it but in overthrows everything nice about it.

Has a faint hint of cardboard and water. Appearance is a poor off-yellow body with heavy head. Flavour is a nasty mix of off-malt and particle board with a rotting citrus fruit thrown in for good measure. Mouthfeel is not good, not great and certainly not enjoyable. The world is filled with bad lagers and it’s a shame. There is nothing to endorse this one over any other.

A very drinkable beer but with a slightly weak flavor. Color is beautifully darker than a normal pilsner without making the taste as heavy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
