Victoria , a pilsener-vienna type beer, is the most traditional out of Modelo´s brand portfolio. Unique for its bitterness and strong flavor which instantly pleases even the most demanding consumer. With more than 135 years of excellence, Victoria is one of the oldest beers produced in Mexico.

Bottled from some restaurant near Chichen Itza Golden with a very brief, white head. Cereal aroma wi a strange touch of broth. Sweetish, cereal flavour with a very lo, if any, bitterness. Totally bland!

Twelve ounce bottle from Delhi Liquor Store, tasted on May 23, 2015. Medium amber color, nice sweet malty/slightly spicy aroma, some flavor in the finish but taste if mostly watery. If I want water then that’s what I’ll drink. But it get a 2.3 because it’s still better than Corona.

Bottle, many times. Pretty decent richer-darker Mexican amber. Weak, not terribly complex, but entirely drinkable.

33cl bottle on Akumal beach. It pours a clean golden color with a small white head. Aroma is muted with light grains and straw. Taste has mild bitterness with light grains straw and light skunk. Light bodied with good carbonation. Overall, meh

I typically rate Mexican amber lagers higher than most because I like them. This is middle of the road for the style. Certainly drinkable but there are better choices.

Bottle at El Mexicano (Worthington, MN). Poured amber in color, clear, with a nice white head. Aroma of biscuits and malts. Taste of grain and sweet malts, quite watery. Refreshing and easy to drink, serves its purpose.

It is a basical beer, prefering the bohemia classic. The colour is medium dark copper and the foam is light. The sensation in mouth is so-so some malt and few hop. I will repeat some comments that these beers are perfect with the rich Mexican food like tacos, enchiladas, tlauyda from Oaxaca or a good barbecue with chorizo from Oaxaca and thousands of plates.

I’ve had it, but figured since I’m in a rating mood again, I’d get the tick mark (901). It is exactly what I remembered. Watery deliciousness for a hot summer day or a spicy salsa laden burrito.

Pours a light amber with a white head. Nose is faint caramel. Body is light. Taste is slight caramel with little bitterness. It has Grupo Modelo properties: light and unoffensive in all aspects. 12 oz bottle

Pours a clear pale golden color. Aroma of a slight malt sweetness and bit of citrus. Taste of light malt sweetness and citrus. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, smooth and refreshing. Much better than expected.
