plenty of bottles on holiday in nicaragua. very similar to the rest of the offerings over there. doesn’t taste of much - wet grass, water and sweet hops. but when freezing cold it is refreshing so not all bad.

330 ml. bottle. I gues I could copy and paste my review of Toña. ? Are they really different? Anyway, here it goes: Clear yellow colour, head with no retention at all (maybe the only difference from Toña). Smell of grain, yest and some citrus. Thin body and nothing to say about the taste. Refreshing if you can’t get any other, avoid it other wise.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
I must rate this one somewhat generously, as it tasted fine at the dodgy Managua domestic airport in the midst of a hot and shitty travel day. I found it to be cold and inoffensive. May you find it to be the same.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
350ml can pours a pale straw color with about 2 fingers of white head that dissipated quickly leaving virtually no lacing. Aroma is mild hops. Taste is moderate hoppy bitterness with light malty sweetness. Light body and little carbonation. Below average for this beer style.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Typical liglty sweet malt taste present in all pale lagers. It’s ok, certainly not the worst, but how good can a pale lager be?

Bouteille 341 ml, 1L, canette 350 ml. Arôme de céréale, un peu de houblon. La meilleure beer du Nica. Couleur jaune paille. Gout de malt, un peu plus prononcé que les autres beer du Nica. Bonne et rafraichissante.

lol, ok, the reason this is rated so high for me is that I was laying in a hammock on the beach drinking it... this beer is one of only 2 you can actually drink in Nicaragua... but they come out of a fridge with the temperature actually on the door, so you know how cold it is, essentially... let me just say that this is the most refreshing beer, but on ly if it is cold...it is exactly what you think it is... cheap generic lager... but is damn tasty when in a hammock close to freezing... knock back about 12 of these during the day at about $.50 a pop, and you cant go wrong... dont seek it out though, but when in Rome...

I think had more of these then the Tonas. Which really wasn’t too different. But damn was it hot. Lets say its 95 degrees everyday, and you dont stop sweating even when youre in the shower. Yeah, so you need plenty of these and plenty water to stay hydrated. Relaly, its all nostalgic, nothing good but memories.

For a Nicaraguan beer (which we really only have 2, Toña being the other) it’s actually pretty good. Pours a light yellow with a fizzy white head, has that grassy malt taste & is a little bitter. Nice in the blistering heat though.
