COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Exhibiting a deep, chestnut color and malty aroma All Malt Dark Lager is a very inviting beer. Mildly malty, with little lingering sweetness to note, Dark Lager is surprisingly refreshing. This is beer as it was meant to be, firm and satisfying. Seasonal specialty available January - April on draft.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2007 I rather like Victory Brewing. They make a number of fine beers. What I especially like about them is that they make rather tasty versions of beer styles that I am not high on. Dunkels for instance are not one of my preferred styles, but this was pretty tasty. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a chestnut color with a medium tan head. The aroma is sweet roasted malt. The flavor is bitter, nutty and has a strong roasted malt presence. The roasted malt lingers on the tongue.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2005 12 oz bottle from BuckNaked. Tasted from a lager glass at 41°. Orange, brown, red colors with an of white head. Malty, caramelly, bready aroma. The taste is malty and sweet with some grassiness?, nutiness, and caramel. Nice body. The finish has a touch of bitterness to keep it from being cloying. Seems very good for the style, but just not one of my favorite styles.

On tap at the brewery. A copper color. A malty flava with some caramel and toffee present. It was pretty bland overall.

Poured a very dark chestnut color. Aroma was very sweet with caramel and hops in it. I found the taste overly sweet. This was alright just not really my kind of style.

Bottle. Thanks to BuckNaked for this! Lovely copper hue with a dense foamy tan head. Nose is malty with light nuttiness, caramel, and some grassy hops. Taste is a bit hoppy and grassy, light nutty notes come through here as well, more chewy caramel, and sweet malts. Very nice! Body is medium with a full carbonation feel to it. Finishes with more hoppiness, though more earthy this time, caramel, light honey, nuts, and dried dark fruit. Nice beer!

Bittle. A nice deep red/brown color in glass. A very sweet armoa and flavor. A nice finish with very little bitterness.

Bottle best before August 1, 2005. Poured a medium to dark, cloudy brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toffee and caramel. Tastes are on the subtle side (stronger aromas).

Decent enough maltiness, with wisps of a nut brown ale? Caramel and some citrus make it very drinkable.

Pours dark brown with a small, tan head. Sweet carmel, malt, and nutty aroma. Flavor is all carmel malts. Very sweet. Medium-bodied. Pretty good.
