Draft@PJ’s. Deep muddy amber with a nice looking head. Yeast, bready, and some slight sweetness waft from the glass. Not much going on here. Thin body with slight bready malts, floral hops, and finishing bland. Ehhh not my thing at all. Just a glorified Yuengling

Beer pours (in Chimay glass) a dark brown, near-cloudy liquick with off-white, light caramel-colored head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a sweet, dark woody textured varnish. Flavor is a medium hop covering a faint malt with a very, very dry ending. Aroma is very interesting, flavor has been done before. Nothing special. Sampled at 71 degrees Fahrenheit.

A nice dark lager though not as exciting as a lot of the Victory stuff. Light malts with a decent hop presence.

I had this as PJ Whelihan’s Copper Lager. They’re not kidding when they say all malt; this is an easy drinker (and competitively priced at $4 / 22 oz) for customers who don’t usually drink craft beer. The sweetness complements the various wing varieties served at the restaurant, and true to its name, its copper body looks great. This is one beer that drinkers of all tastes can agree on.

At last a beer that smells, looks and finally tastes like a beer should! Perhaps my quest is over and I’ve found a new favorite. This stuff was exquisite. Overall a balance of perfectly blended grains that hit the spot and made me want another just to savor again.

This is good stuff - had it on tap on a binge and found it malty enough to catch my attention mid jag.

This is a very different beer. Wonderfully malty and flavorful. I think the difference must be the slight sweetness, yet it is surprisingly good!

What can be said about lager? dry and clean with a slight nutty finish. From the looks of other reviews, many pubs don’t understand that unpasteurized lager has to always be cold or it will spoil. Make sure it is fresh!

Pours an opalescent light brown with a soft, pillowy head. Beautiful lacing. Lovely floral scent, with baking soda and banana. Well-balanced musty palate, accompanied by apple and tartness. Watery mouthfeel and disappointing finish.
