COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Exhibiting a deep, chestnut color and malty aroma All Malt Dark Lager is a very inviting beer. Mildly malty, with little lingering sweetness to note, Dark Lager is surprisingly refreshing. This is beer as it was meant to be, firm and satisfying. Seasonal specialty available January - April on draft.

I generally dig all things Victory, but I do NOT dig this beer. Tastes like In-Bev brewed it......

ROGUE (2099) - Newark, Delaware, USA - SEP 11, 2014
On tap @ SL Liquors. Pours a rich mahogany color that has ruby highlights on the edges with a short creamy light tan head that fades to a thin collar. The aroma is fresh and floral up front, with notes of light roast, caramel, and fresh citrus character quickly following. The flavor is nicely balanced between a gently toasty malt and an underlying bitterness. It finishes clean and dry with a touch of toasted maltiness. Medium bodied, with a firm, crisp carbonation.

Draft at brewery. Pours a murky orange with a thin white head. Malty aroma with caramel, grains, and nuts. Flavor was sweet and malty with caramel, bread, subtle toffee, nuts and had a crisp clean finish.

Dark copper body, thin off-white head, sparse lacing. Caramel, toffee, dark bready toast, a touch of nuts, and wild grains. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, sweetness throughout. A little muddled, not particularly interesting, and given the sweetness, a little slow drinking.

On draft at PJ’s Downingtown. Copper color, a lot of lace. Malt and sugar aroma. Sweet candied malt flavor, medium body and duration. Solid lager.

Medium body lager that has a great amber appearance. Solid go to for any amber lager. Good refreshing taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
