All Malt Lager is styled after a classic German Export, a style made famous in the city of Dortmund. Export is a very drinkable, tasty beer, which falls some where in between a Helles and and a Pils. It has a just a touch more malt character than your average Helles, but is a little less hoppy then your classic German Pils. Balance is what defines this beer, and Victory’s example is one of the best domestic examples of this style you will ever taste. It is brew with with 2 row German malts, and whole flower German hops, and comes in at 5.2% abv. Victory All Malt Lager pours to a beautiful, bright, deep golden color, with a bright white head that fades, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is fantastic with a very pleasing, spicy/grassy hop aroma. The plate on this beer is so crisp and clean, with really great pale malt flavors, with a smooth, round body. Victory All Malt Lager finishes with more crisp malt character up front, then ends with a quick and snappy, grassy hop bite that balances this beer out to perfection. It is the simple, yet elegant character of this beer, that makes it such a wonderful beer to drink.

Poured an effervescent amber with a fizzy white head. Sweet aroma of light corn, wheat, and a touch of hops. Taste is surprisingly sweet with mild corn and hops. Surprisingly full body. Sweet and smooth. Nice.

Bottle, from New World Beer. I’m guessing that this is the Dortmunder as it has no dating on it and by my taste is closer to others description, anyway. Good nose, fruity and sour. Lemon, popourri spice kinda thing. Orangy gold color got a decent amount of sediment, little to no head. Bitter flavors, tart. Kinda lambic ish, cherry, lemon, hay. Thin body, lite watery mouthfeel, tart dry finish. Interesting brew, not what I was expecting. Not that much into Dortmunder/Helles so I’m a little unsure of this.

Vanilla, floral, lavender, herbal hops and light graininess in the aroma. Clear pale golden body with thin white fully diminishing head. Cookie dough-like yeastiness with a lemony character and some grainy, cereal malts. Strong metallic finish. Medium-light body with a sticky texture and low carbonation. Bottle.
