On tap at Victory, 1st rate, I’ve entered a bunch of these things now. Pour is a pale hazy gold with a creamy, fine white head. Nose is fairly lactic and citrus forward, light sulfur. Mouth is straight fresh wheat, lactic tartness, very dry profile with a weird drying finish that’s somewhat fermented potato. High carbonation, appropriately, but creamy throughout. Quite pleasant, very fresh example of the style with little wheat sweetness, very dry and this is a style I’ve always wanted Victory to do, so I’m stoked.

Pours hazy gold with white head. Aroma is grass, citrus and earthy. Taste is hints of sweetness but mostly tart and acidic. Light bodies with a thin texture and astringent finish.

Tap at Victory. Low haze straw pour. Denser white foam. Nose is sharp lemon and tea with linen and mild detergent. Taste is a bit soapy detergent with thicker lactic acid and lemon juice. Palate is spritzy, sparkling. Larger dough and less sour than expected. Some sanitizer/chemical hints. As it warms the nose allows sharper peach and dried apricot. Still doughy. Still some small off flavors but enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

10 oz draft at Alla Spina with Patrick. Fuck you James. Slightly cloudy light gold color with 2 inches of fluffy white head. Nose is very funky yeast slightly lemon, wet dog. Taste is tart upfront fades to ocean water, lemon, with a dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toast, wheat, citrus, and some lactic. Taste of citrus, leather, tart wheat, and also a tart finish.

tap at brewpub. hazy yellow, thin wispy white head, doesn’t die. Watery nose shows heavy wheat and toast, lightly lactic, egg. Egg more prominent in flavor, following citrus and dusty wheat before wheat returns. Mineral finish, watery throughout, nice but lacking acidity despite drinkability.

On tap at Alla Spina with Tom. Fuck you James. Pours glowing hazed out tangerine with a two-finger creamy white head with spotty lacing. Aroma of ocean, lemon zest, hay, & basement funk. Taste is funky lactic tartness, which fades to sweet corn. Palate is light, gently carbonated and tangy. Finish is sweet and clean. Good Weisse, but I liked the sample I had the first night better. It was a sour, lemony version of the ocean and I loved it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
