Mar 11, 2008 Bomber. Dark but translucent brown with a frothy beige head. Aroma of bittersweet chocolate mostly, with a touch of coffee and raisin. Chocolate and coffee flavors you’d expect, but not as richly sweet, roasty and plummy as I can remember from the Perkuno’s Hammer. Some slight beef broth hints. Warming spiciness comes through on the finish. Decent brew, though I’d like to see more substance in body and flavor.

Black brown in color with a thin tan head. Sweet pecan aroma. Sweet roasted/burnt malt flavor with no present alcohol. Smooth body and drinkable.

Mar 10, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a dark cola-brown color; light khaki head with patchy, fine-bubbled lacing. Dry chocolate, cocoa, and raisins in the aroma; somewhat chalky; pleasant enough, but a bit too straightforward. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: follows the aroma rather well, actually: chalky dry chocolate and cocoa and dried fruits, with a warming alcohol presence; plenty of mineral and chocolate-tinged bitterness, with a touch of vibrant citrus mid-palate; a bit boozy and muddled and a step down from its previous life. Medium finish: dry chocolate, breadiness, and a touch of caramel; a bit of chalkiness.

Mar 10, 2008 22 oz. bottle via trade with jasonmech77 - Pours a dark brown color with a one finger thick light tan head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is a light roasted malt and faint esters in the back. Flavor is a little more roasty with a touch of chocolate and the esters are a little more noticeable too. Medium body. No lingering roastiness left on the tongue. This beer is quite nice. Thanks Jason.

Mar 10, 2008 22. Thanks, BitBucket! Black with a thin tan head. Nice big roasty/chocolatey nose. Body’s on the high side of medium and a bit creamy. Chocolate, roast and a bit of raisin on the mid-palate. Tidy little finish.

Mar 9, 2008 Not a bad brew at all.
Not amazing, but very solid.
Aroma is very chocolate, subdued toffee, roasted- just the whole thing is very understated- I strain to pick things up in the aroma.
Taste is raisin, chocolate, touch of smoke.
Smooth, touches of bitterness, coffee, cocoa, rich and filling. Redeems itself in the finish and some of the flavor.
Dry and earthy.
Decent.
