Victory Braumeister Pils

cbc braumeister pils on tap at Victory. Pours hazy gold with a thin white head. thin hoppy bitterness with lots of floral perfuminess on the nose, something like shalimar. taste is piney and dry with slight lemon and a big wheaty back. crisp, clean finish. not bad at all.

On tap at Victory in downingtown. Definetly hoppier then expected! Cloudy yellow in color, decent head, good lacing. Malty and hoppy. Good bitterness to it, but still light in texture. Kind of in its own category, "Light IPA"... Good summer time brew as well.

On tap at Blind Tiger, Tettanger version. Aroma of grassy hops with medium bitterness on top of a mild sweet malt. Flavor begins with a luxurious sweetness with fruits in background and finishes on a playful, bitter hop note. Very tasty.

On tap at Blind Tiger, labeled Braumeister Tettnanger Pils. Pours a clear golden yellow with a small head. Aroma of light fruits and cocoa powder. Flavor of crisp sweetness, light flowery hops, lemon zest, sweet but not very fruity. Dry finish. When it warms, it is awesome--a superb balance of sweetness and hops. My favorite Victory brew to date.

I had two very different samples this week. One was an unfiltered draft, which was yeasty, very hazy, almost hefe in its appearance, mouthfeel, and citrus overtones. The other was a rare Tett bottling. I’ll rate the bottles, because they are more like the drafts that I have had previously at the brewery. The beer has a light Pils grassy or herbal nose. Mine was gorgeously clear, rich gold with a huge white head. Taste of bitter tett hopping, but not as bitter or as intense as previous braumiester Pils. Dry, simple, easy to drink, with a long bitter finish. // Had another a couple of days later and I really do like the assertive bitter finish.
