Very delicious Belgian-style pale ale. The beers pours a dark golden color with a creamy and sticky off-white head. The nose has a lot of hops, but is balanced nicely with some notes of bread, caramel, earth and light citrus. The body is incredibly smooth and drinkable and contains a nice floral and semi-spicy flavor. A bready malt backbone adds quite a bit of body and balance to the beer.

Had on tap at Victory A-light transparent golden yellow color with a nice straight white head and decent lace S-good nose, lightly toasted barley, notes of bread. sweet hops in the back, grassy, hints of herbal hops, and a touch of honey. T-very nice, toasted barley and bread lay the foundation, notes of grain come up faintly. herbal hops, lemon grassy notes, sweet honey in the back. M-smooth and creamy with a medium to light body, syrupy on the palate and nice carbonation to balance out the syrupy texture giving it a crisp finish. D-very solid ale, good balance of malt and hop, nice toasted flavors and a good sweet finish with a soft full texture and good crisp finish.

Golden-red, wispy white head. Robust wheat nose, light caramel malt and a bit of grassy bitterness. Grainy flavor but also some biscuit to balance out more of the light lemon and grass hop profile. Balanced and robust, the carbonation helps keep this one easily drinkable despite the rich variety and strength of the malt.

On tap at Victory headquarters in Downingtown, Pa. A lightly bitter pale ale. It claims to be Belgian, but I didn’t really taste much of that.

On draft at the brewpub during the night of the deer incident. Pours a clear liquid golden copper with a medium sized white head. Aroma of floral earthy notes, sweetened dry malts, and lemon tea. Taste is much the same as the aroma.

Lightly hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, skunk, spices, toast, and citrus. Taste of grass, skunk herb, citrus, and light spices.

JAXSON (524) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2010
Draft at Victory. I was a little wary as I’m not normally a huge fan of their more yeasty, Belgian style stuff. Poured a deep gold with a white head. Slightly sweet, yeasty nose. Vibrant and prickly in the mouth, light fruits like banana, crisp grassy hops. Dry, no lingering bitterness. Shines a bit like their better pilsners do.
