COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The tastiest dark brew since the rollicking days of the infamous Donnybrook Fair, Donnybrook Stout offers unparalleled refreshment for an ale so deep in flavor and intrigue. Fresh, whole flower British and Slovenian hops provide the proper, earthy hint of 'the auld sod' while deep roasted barley and low alcohol keep Donnybrook Stout clean, smooth and flavorful. Served on mixture of 75% nitro and 25% CO2.

On nitro-tap at Rustico - Alexandria. Served in a pint glass. Pours a very dark brown with a very impressive reverse-cascading mocha head and good retention. The nose carries some very light roast and a touch of chocolate. Nothing too complex, but I wasn’t expecting too much. Flavor falls a bit flat after the nose, with just a bit of roast and not much else. Medium body with a nice nitro feel. Pretty good, though below Victory standards for me.

A: Brown/black body which is kind of transparent considering the coloration.. off white head which quick disappeared. S: Standard roasted malt aroma.. caramel, coffee and chocolate T: A solid balance of classic flavors... good chocolate bitterness and caramel sweetness... hints of coffee and breadyness M: Medium bodied.. not as hearty as others in this style.. O: A good all around stout... i’d take it over a Guinness for a change in scenery...

Tap@Victory, this is a great light stout. I have finally made it out to the source. Ruby color, light taste with clean finish.

Draft @ Victory Brewing. I preface this by saying that I drank this to stay sober to drive home on Thanksgiving Eve. This pours black with a nice head. Looks remarkable like guinness. Taste is a little thinner comparably but a little richer o nthe malt. This was really tasty if you are not looking for the alcohol effects.

On nitro tap at Boneshakers, Rocklin. Pours black with a pretty beige head and a smoked cocoa aroma. There is a medium-bodied treacle flavor, very creamy, with a dry burnt finish.

Draft @ Novare Res Bier Café, Portland, ME. Served in a Donnybrook, English Pint glass. Great thick, full head tons of lace. Nose of coffee grounds and light roasted malt. Smooth and dry in the mouth, the hop bite is mild. Decent background of coffee and chocolate. A thinner body, It’s not going to surprise you, nothing amazing. BUT, it is a solid example of a dry Irish stout. Well made from the boys in Pennsylvania.

The stout was more sweet than dry. Surprised I hadn’t drank this beer earlier. Nice and smooth. Very good.

Draft. Nitro. Blackish beer with a dark cream colored nitro head. Light malt aroma. Light malt and light grain flavor. lighter bodied. Light malt and light cocoa lingers.
