COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The tastiest dark brew since the rollicking days of the infamous Donnybrook Fair, Donnybrook Stout offers unparalleled refreshment for an ale so deep in flavor and intrigue. Fresh, whole flower British and Slovenian hops provide the proper, earthy hint of 'the auld sod' while deep roasted barley and low alcohol keep Donnybrook Stout clean, smooth and flavorful. Served on mixture of 75% nitro and 25% CO2.

Taster on tap at Twenty Tap. Black color. Thin khaki head, with good retention. Thicker lace. Good milk chocolate, lightly roasty, lightly dark fruity nose... Classic, clean irish stout aroma. Maybe a bit more earthy hop bitterness, than say, a Guinness. I like it, though. Lighter body. Smooth, kind of creamy, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter. A solid dry irish stout. I let robotopera have the last 1/3 of my taster. He called it "overwhelmingly mild. Like there’s nothing there; like it’s cut." I guess he’s not used to dry irish stouts.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a translucent cola with light beige lacing. Smells of dark malt and roast. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A little thin and a little bland.

on tap. Pours a murky black with average-sized white head. Light aroma of chocolate malt. Full bodied with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Moderately sweet. Nitro made this really stand out.

Draft. Thick black pour with a thick tan head. Chocolate, coffee, and dark malts dominate the nose. Smooth, easy to drink, no abv noticed. Could really put these down.

Draft. Poured nearly black with a thick, fine-bubbled head. Beautiful cascading carbonation. Love the low ABV. Roasted malt, quite dry, mildly bitter and ... celery. Kept trying to come up with another way to describe it. But there it was. I.e., an odd vegetal note. Other than that, quite nice. Easy drinking.

Draft at Victory brewpub. Served in a English pint glass, deep dark brown with tan nitro head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, light caramel note and some nuttiness. Taste was lighter then the aroma notes emphasizing the roastiness with a smoke note. Medium body, low carbonation(mostly nitro), creamy, thin, dry, rich with light roast finish. Kind of like a lighter Guinness, I thought it was nice easy drinking.
