COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The tastiest dark brew since the rollicking days of the infamous Donnybrook Fair, Donnybrook Stout offers unparalleled refreshment for an ale so deep in flavor and intrigue. Fresh, whole flower British and Slovenian hops provide the proper, earthy hint of 'the auld sod' while deep roasted barley and low alcohol keep Donnybrook Stout clean, smooth and flavorful. Served on mixture of 75% nitro and 25% CO2.

Tap at Trappeze, Athens GA Pours dark brown with thick mocha like nitro head Aroma was rather weak and watery with some malts for a charcoal nose. Taste, light, some roasted malts and thin touch of coffee with undertones of mocha with a lactose like palate. Overall mouthfeel was fluffy and silky/creamy with good nitro presence. Victoryís version of Guinness? dry finish, simple, light, too watery for my taste but very drinkable.

sample at Taco Mac, Windward. dark black with a big off white head. aromas of roasted malt and some ash. Very watered down light body - a bit of chocolate/coffee... this one is similar to Guinness in body, aroma and some flavor - however Guinness wins hands down. I would not order this one....

On Draft. Fantastic pour, akin to Guinnessí look. Carbonation perfect, head was creamy off-white, color of beer was near-black. Flavor, again, quite similar to Guinness. Nothing out of this world, but I really needed the low ABV after hitting some harder beers earlier in the evening.í

Excellent example of a dry stout. Donít get confused with other stouts. This is a low alcohol brew. Nicely flavored.

Served at Victory brewery PA- Dark brew with off white head. Fresh but very watered down, weak barley grain flavor. There is no Guinness comparison here.

On tap at Leonís. Decent tan head gives the first couple of sips a creamy and frothy texture. Aroma has a bit of nuttiness. The flavor is a little thin and disappointing. A little bit of roasted malt and a slightly bitter finish. Otherwise not much else happening especially for a stout.

I didnít care about the ABV, but what I did care about was the fact that this reminded me of Guinness. Very much watered down if you ask me. The best part about this was the coffee/ash flavor that the beer had. A nice dark black beer with a decent head. Not too bad looking, but the beer is TOO watery. I cannot get over this fact. I think that if they are going to make this it needs to have more body to it, but I realize they are going for the Guinness-type beer. I am not a fan of Guinness ergo I am not really a fan of this type of stout. I loved the ash and coffee flavors, and the look of it, but not a favorite of mine.

This one didnít do much for me. Poured from the tap to a dark brown with medium tan head that lingered awhile and left okay lacing. Nose and taste were botrh a faint chocolate malt and the mouthfeel was fairly flat and watery. At only 3.7% abv, there was no noticeable alcohol, and the finish was short and non-descript.

Nitro at Leonís Full Service served in a Donnybrook pint glass. Pours dark, dark chocolate brown with a massive creamy nitro head that lingers for the duration and leaves good lacing. Itís like a lighter version of Guinness. The aroma is very sedate on this one with some dark chocolate malts and little else. The taste is a slight step up from the aroma with a more noticeable chocolate presence and more sweetness overall. The finish is dry and roasty. The mouthfeel is thin and slightly watery with soft carbonation. This is a decent dry stout but itís nothing to write home about.
