ryan (1673), Beltsville, Maryland, USA May 11, 2008 Black body with a medium sized beige head that fades. The nose is roast, chocolate and brown sugar. The flavor is dry with roast, light chocolate and light molasses. Medium/light body is soft with light carbonation.
JoeMcPhee (3643), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jul 16, 2008 Dark black beer with a thick creamy nitro head. Aroma is very roasty. Lots of bright cocoa. Nice and roast with a kiss of acidic malts. Lean-bodied, toasty and roast. It finishes with a kiss of fruit on the back. It’s a pretty solid dry stout really. lemasney (233), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Jun 22, 2008 ABV: 3.7 %

First Impression: Aroma is sweet cocoa, coffee, and mold. Visuals deep black with a long lasting head. Taste coffee, some hops, nice depth and flavor. Palate dry with a short finish. Second Impression a very nice stout, and a great way to celebrate my birthday.

Overall: 12 out of 20 kassner (115), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 8, 2008 I ordered this at Jean bonnet, and thought it was storm King but told they were out. This is anice knock off of Guiness but no Storm king. little to no hops, lighter in color and taste, oily, no head and hints of smoked salmon. kevin62 (226), New Jersey, USA May 31, 2008 Had this on draft-and it poured a dark black color with a nice tan head.Aromas were the usual-coffee,malt and chocolate.Flavors also had coffee, roasted malt and light caramel.Nice, easy drinking offering, considering the abv is only 3.7%..Not too bad. bp (256), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 17, 2008 Draft at the brewery: pours a dark black with a big frothy head, aroma of coffee and malt, taste is dry with some malt and coffee flavors though both are fairly subtle, watery mouthfeel from a beer that looks like it would be pretty heavy. Pretty good interpretation of the style.
