Thought the mouthfeel was good, with a nice malty flavor that is tinged with hops. Nice bittering. It’s a nice full mouth feel even though it’s thin. Not quite as good as Blue Point’s Oktoberfest pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2008 Pours a solid orangy amber hue with a decent creamy white even head. The nose is grainier and slightly sweet with a good dose of spicy hops. A bit creamy, perhaps lacking some richness that is often characteristic of the style. Maybe a bit toasty. The mouthfeel is full and creamy without being too carbonated. The flavor is in line with the nose. Not too rich or creamy as the style can be, more drinkable. Spicy hops. A good dose of dark malt character that doesn’t just stop at toasty and caramel, it edges up to the brink of chocolate. Not a bad beer, even if it’s not to style, I don’t see why it’s rated so lowly! | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 4, 2008 On tap at Paradiso, Georgetown. Quite a nice looking beer, that glowing orange one expects from the style. Moderate head, little retention. The nose is crisp, hoppy, fruity, and very appealing. Slighty grainy flavor, though, and a mouthfeel that’s a bit on the thin side. Decent. thornecb (1753), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Pours deep amber into a shaker. Bright white micro head recedes at a medium pace to hug rim. Caramel and candy corn aromas. Soft with caramel from front to back. Lasting malt finish. A great Oktoberfest session beer. Next. anthlovesbeer (67), north grafton, Massachusetts, USA

Very smooth drinkability, enjoyable with an overall smooth mouthfeel. The use of true German hops makes this beer a nice choice for Octoberfest celebrations. Caramel and floral hops in the aroma. Rich malty sweetness starts off, soft bitterness provides a welcome balance. Medium body and carbonation, sight syrupy character initially, but finishes fairly clean. Smooth, easy drinking. Good example of a tradtional Marzen. Snojerk321 (1939), San Diego, California, USA
