Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

Bottle. Pour is light brown with a medium off-white head. Aroma is very malty and bready with very very mild hop presence. Flavor is rich and malty up-front with a rather noticeable yeasty/ bready finish that I am just not a huge fan of. I taste this often in Marzens, but it was very prominent in this beer and not appetizing.

On tap at Quarry House Tavern. Pours a clear, reddish amber with a thin, beige head that quickly disappears. No lacing. Caramel malt, Worcestershire sauce, and earthy grain aroma. Taste is simple caramel malt with some good, basic balancing hops. Very basic, rich lager.

Sparkling amber color with a short lived head. Rather smooth light to medium bodied lager with a touch of hops. Decent drinking seasonal.

On tap @ Victory. Clear amber with an off white head. Bready aroma with a tiny bit of German hops. Sweet with some light bitterness. Smooth, medium body with a nutty finish. Well balanced Marzen.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Appearance: Deep amber color with a small, pillowy, off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma: Mild toasted notes with a hint of caramel. Light nose. Flavor: Some toast, a bit of grain, a decent hop prescience and some caramel notes. A decent interpretation. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium-short, malty finish. Overall: Not a bad Oktoberfest and very sessionable. That being said, Victory has better beers and there are better examples of the style out there.

Not my favorite oktoberfest, but this is a really good all around example... Medium to lighter mouthfeel... mild aroma of caramel and toasted nuts... Flavor has a tinge to it that’s distinctly oktoberfest... almost a spicy character... mildly effervescent... Good overall, and easy to drink
