Commercial Description:
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

it’s alright: aroma--bread, floral, buttered broccoli; caramel, soap, grapefruit/peel aftertaste like joeymacaroni notes below me--meh.

On tap at Victory- Poured amber red with a small head and some lacing. Misty pour, hops and caramel up front. Refreshing, smooth and a good balance, helped calm the bitterness of the Storm King.

This amber pour has a sweet malt nose. It is malty and smooth with a little bit of a hop bite. There was nothing great or bad about it.

From the bottle, pours a clear dark red with a small but decent off white head. Deep malty aroma, taste is similar. A little watery. Meh, really not my favorite. I had higher hopes for this beer.

Pours a light amber with a small white film head. Aroma is lightly sweet grain, grass and a some sweet candy. Flavor is light malt although the hops come through more in the finish. Thin body, light creamy texture. Finishes somewhat short and astringent.

I don’t know what it is about marzens, but many are hit or miss with me- a love/hate relationship you could call it. Ive had many bad ones, and some tastey ones, this one fits in the tastey department. It was rich in flavor, plenty of malted character and a nice bright hop finish. It had a toasted quality which was noticeable all the way through and it was a tad more livelier than what I expected from an octoberfest beer. Keep up the good work guys!
