beachbum25 (778), Powellville, Maryland, USA Jan 11, 2008 12 oz bottle-Pours a clear copper color w/a slight tan head. Roasted malt aroma. Has a little bit of a floral hop bite on the front end, w/flavors of roasted malt, toffee, & almond. Kind of a standard Marzen. Smooth & easy to drink. Enjoyable. jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Jan 5, 2008 Noticed a Victory at our local store I hadn’t rated before and scooped it quickly. Orange-ish color, thin head, that familiar malty aroma. Molasses palate, sugary, not much more going on. Typical Oct. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA Dec 30, 2007 Unusual in that the description of this reads "in bottles Sept. to Feb." Weather this means they bottle until Feb. or keep it on the shelves until then it is nice to see a Marzen throughout the fall. I wish other companies would do this other than maintain the philosophy of its Nov 1 pull the Oktoberfest beers. I digress. This pours a standard burnt orange color with a smallish head. Mild peat malt aroma with grassy hops. Not too sweet, faintly dry, and drinkable. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Dec 30, 2007 bottle. average fizzy tan head (quickly dissapating) into clear dark amber body. minimal lacing. aromas of light bready rye and molasses. flavor is a muted sweet. watery texture, flat carbonation, medium to long finish duration. ok beer, nothing special. Ron (1002), Rochester, New York, USA Dec 29, 2007 First sniff of the aroma took me back to memories of Genny lager. This did have something sweet added to it. Poured Light brown with a tan head. Sweet caramel in the lager with a hop ending. troyc (1173), Lubbock, Texas, USA Dec 28, 2007 (Bottle) Pours an amber color with a even white head. Aroma of sweet caramel. Sweet aroma includes notes of toffee, caramel, and light spice. Average palate for the style, with lively carbonation. An above average beer, in my opinion. bigbobdog (36), USA Dec 24, 2007 not impressed with this beer. Would rather go with other victory brews. Nothing made me want to get this one again franksnbeans (265), Columbus, Maryland, USA Dec 24, 2007 Pours a clear copper with a 2 finger head that dies quick. Smells crisp of nuts and spice with a little vanilla. Tastes as it smells with a touch of malt to balance out all the mild flavors. Medium to light in the mouth with tasty carbonation. Drinkability is great as this is a sessionable but not impressionable brew.
