jsquire (2086), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Dec 15, 2007 Clear amber color out of the 12 oz. bottle with a thin off white head. Sweet malty nose. Lightly toasted bread, caramel, and a almost cinnamon spice hints. Some raw grains in the finish. Nice seasonal beer. RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Dec 10, 2007 12oz bottle. Aroma: Lightly toasted nuts and some german malts. A bit of caramel. Appearance: Dark amber in color and clear. Off-white head was full and frothy with good retention. Fair lacing. Flavor: German maltiness with some light toast and caramel. Dry finish. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: Nothing wrong with this beer, but plays it to safe to stand out. ubamartian (155), Watertown, Wisconsin, USA Dec 10, 2007 Bottle. Pours burnt amber color with a thin and fast dissipateing white head. Aroma is of caramel, malts, and fall spices. Flavor is similar to aroma, but not as good. Palate is very watered down, light. Finish is very mild bitter, almost non-existant. Nothing bad, but just nothing good either.
blipp (1630), Newark, New Jersey, USA Dec 6, 2007 Color is amber with a thin and quickly vanishing off white head. Aroma is very light, some caramel, maybe nutty malts, and a little bit of spice. Palate: very easy to drink but maybe a little to watery and carbonated. Flavor is very similar to the aroma, malt and light spice, nothing that leaves much of an impression. Overall this is not a very complex beer. However, is is very easy drinking and pretty cheap, so I’ll probably end up getting it again.
(yay! first rating!) aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Dec 1, 2007 Pour: golden orange. Head: thin, creamy, offwhite. Aroma: sweet, caramel malt, grainy. Flavor: a little bran, grainy, sweet, malty. Palate: easy to drink and finishes clean. NicerInPerson (337), North of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Nov 30, 2007 The aroma was malty with a nutty caramel presence of Munich and Vienna malts. Spicy hop notes were present and strong caramel. The beer poured into the glass clear golden amber with a white barely there head. The flavor was malty with a metallic note which was quite strong. The flavor was very one-dimensional and had caramel and a bit of low spicy hop, but not much more. The finish was dry with just a metallic note into the aftertaste. The body was medium and the carbonation was low. Not a well crafted beer, skip it. 12 ounce bottle. Enjoy by Feb 24, 08. zethca (62), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 26, 2007 Bottle. Beautfiul beer, extremely refreshing, very drinkable. Not much more that hasn’t been said already. Not much complexity here, but the flavor is very good and balanced. Hmright (101), Annapolis, Maryland, USA Nov 22, 2007 Another hit from Victory. Very smooth and drinkable. Not a whole lot of flavor, nor very complex, but still a great beer.
