decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Nov 22, 2007 A clean amber orange pour with a very light off white head. An aroma that reminds me a lot of the adjuncts in a lager. A flavor that is a bit malty with a decent bitter finish. Mouthfeel is prettty solid. Overall a decent beer not one of my favorites but very drinkable and very plain. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Nov 21, 2007 17 Nov 07. 12 oz bottle, Enjoy by: Feb.24.08. Deep copper color, light foamy head. Big German malt aromas. Very sweet in the nose. Full-bodied flavor. Lots of caramel, some toffee and figs. All followed by a crisp hop bitterness. Very, very balanced and refreshing. I will definately be drinking this one AGAIN! dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 17, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Copper-amber color, with little head, only a thin film of a head left after a few minutes. Nose is malty with a lot of carmel. Taste is malty with some biscuit and bread, with a touch of carmel. Mouthfeel is nice. Finish is a bit muddled, but a nice hop flavor lingers. Pretty decent overall. chimpscampee (556), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Nov 17, 2007 Bit too sweet for me but underrated. Toasty. cereal malts overmatch the hops.Oily. Finish and aftertaste is a strength. Clove spice is about right. Light and a bit watery but a nice session beer. Appearance :Clear amber ale with hint of vintage copper, medium large semi dense tanned top.3+. Nose :Soft, refreshing aroma , flower hop with golden malt.. Flavour/Palate : Medium bodied , soft texture with oily malt and soapy hops. Low carbonation. Middle smooth almost oily with light bittering. Slightly disappointing finish, somewhat flat, beer that is missing element x.
emerica56 (575), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Nov 13, 2007 Updated: Nov 14, 2007This particular Oktoberfest pours a clear amber color woth no head at all. It has an aroma of mild citrus and some hops and caramle malt. As you drink it there is an initiall bitterness which fades instantly and becomes very smooth. It contains some earth tones and mild hints of honey. The palate duration is very quick, and is mildly sweet and bitter. The finish is also very watery. Drink4Satan (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Nov 13, 2007 Pours a clear orange-copper with a fully fading, thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet and grainy, with caramel malt dominating. Toasted grain and bread also whaft the nose with a touch of toffee sweetness and earthy hop citrus poking through. The flavour is weaker on the caramel than the nose and stronger on the grainy, bready malts. The hops are a little under-pronounced for my tastes, leaving the beer less crisp than desired. The finish is short, watery, and lacking character. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Nov 12, 2007 Pours a darkish copper with a thin head. Aroma is over sweened malts, sort of a faint vomit smell. Flavor also has an overpowering sweetness of malts, grains and caramel syrup.
