LinusStick (1830), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 24, 2007 Holy crap that is a delicious Oktoberfest. No aroma (shame...this would have been in the 4s). Pour was the darkest amber I’ve seen in an Oktoberfest...no head though. Taste was huge...buttery malt and caramel on top of great carbonation and a sweet semi dry finish. bryandhargrave (165), Richmond, Virginia, USA Aug 23, 2007 eh, nothing special. i should have read the "patient cold aging" part before i cracked a bottle open the same week it was shipped. Pwn3d (1036), Manhattan, New York, USA Aug 16, 2007 12 oz bottle. Very malty and fruity. Not a big fan of this one. But worthy of another taste and a re-rate in the future. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 4, 2007 on tap at Market X shippensburg: Aroma was faint but had many nice caramel malt notes. poured a rich amber in color with 2 fingers of dense head. Flavor was smooth as can be with very nice toasty notes especially as it warmed, and there was a nice balance of spiciness from the hops. palate was medium. Overall this was a very enjoyable lager and probably the best Marzen I’ve had jredmond (1015), New Jersey, USA Jun 10, 2007 12 oz bottle. Very malty and fruity. Not a big fan of this one. But worthy of another taste and a re-rate in the future. alexanderj (2212), Chino Hills, California, USA May 25, 2007 Bottle; poured an orange amber. Not much head. Aroma is typical for style; some caramel and fruit. Flavor was different at first; a lot of fruit and nut. Alot of sweet malt and a dry finish. Pretty standard, but probably above average for the style. grandet (477), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA May 22, 2007 Typical american october fest. not all that great. Not much flavor. Decient but not great. thumbs down Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada May 16, 2007 A hazy lager, with orange amber colour and a light thin off white head. A sweet caramel aroma, with light fruity esters. In mouth, a lightly spiced sweet nutty malt, bready, with faint hopping. A quaffable beer. Bought in the Fall 2006.
