COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

Pours from 12 oz bottle a clear coppery color, forming little foam. Aroma of malts, caramel, perhaps a bit of field grass. Flavour what you would think from a marzen type beer, light caramel and malts, and again some field grass sneak in. Not my most fave style, but decent enough.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2010 Bottle: This beer poured a light honey color with no head at all. Very faint hint of malt on the nose. Very subtle carbonation with a bready [almost yeasty] malt taste. The aftertaste leaves your mouth medium-dry with a hint of yeast. It’s a passable Oktoberfest lager.

demdeac40 (291) - Etowah, North Carolina, USA - SEP 20, 2008
Pours a nice amber color with nice carbonation and a fluffy off white head that lingers. Nice floral and malt aromas. Nice bready, yeasty flavor followed by a nice nuttiness, almost roasted pine nuts. Nice finish.

12 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse. Orange-amber pour with a one finger head. Low to moderate retention. Grassy, malty aroma.... unpleasant. Sweet grainy taste followed by a toasty and slightly nutty malt finish. Taste is better than the aroma by far, thankfully. Medium body.

GAManiac (1852) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - SEP 18, 2008
Pours a bubbly, clear reddish amber with a good-sized off-white head that lingers as a cap for a while and leaves a little bit of lacing. Roasted caramel malts dominate the nose with a bit of sweetness of vanilla as well. The hops are present but subdued in the aroma. The taste is even sweeter than the aroma indicates with a much more bready malt backbone and tons of caramel and vanilla sweetness. There is a bit of earthy hops in the finish leaving a little bitterness. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied - crisp and clean with good carbonation. Not overly complex, this brew is definitely drinkable and a good representation of the style.

Copper color with a thin head. Floral and caramel malt aroma. Munich and caramel malt taste. A bit on the grainy side, but a nice lightly bitter finish.
