Commercial Description:
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

Bottle. Amber colour with a tan head. The aroma is caramel, malt and a bit of rye bread, the taste is thin with caramel and straw in a light body with a nise sweet finish.

Orange amber color with a bit of a head and a grainy aroma. Flavor is heavy on the grains and pleasant. Victory is capable of much more and this wasn’t nearly as crisp as I expected.

An amber beer with a thick, but disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw and caramel. I find it quite mainstream.

This is one of the few beers I enjoy from Victory. It has a golden/brown color and the smell is very inviting. The flavor is malt, some slight fruit, crispness, and some hops at the end. It is a nice Oktoberfest and I am glad to be enjoying a Victory brew.

Bottle, courtesy of Jim Busch, July 2006. Not one of my favourite Victory beers, but this isn’t really one of my favourite styles. Golden colour. There’s a good depth of toasty, bready malt here and hints of grassy hop. Mellow mouthfeel. In other words much as you’d expect from an Oktoberfest. So pretty authentic but not entirely to my taste.
