COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

Draft at ncbc. Pours a clear dark amber with a loose creamy tan head. Mild artichokey nose, mixed with old wet leaves and stale tobacco. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Artichoke and old wet leaves on the mid palate. Neutral finish.

Pours the color of dark apple cider with a medium-sized off-white head that is mostly diminishing down to a spotty film. Very fine particulates suspended throughout. Moderately robust aroma of dried straw, fresh cereal grains, caramel candies and a touch of honey. Noble hops quite noticeable in the flavor atop sweet grains, toffee and light tea/tobacco leaves. Very mild hints of wet cardboard in the immediate aftertaste is the only true flaw I could find. Lively carbonated with a full, lightly syrupy texture. Quite delicious.

Copper with a light tan, frothy head. Aroma is full of rusty malts, toasted, earthy hops, sweet malts. Medium body. Flavor is full of biscuit malts, toasted, earthy hops. Good beer and easy to drink liters of.

I enjoy oktoberfests as a style so figured for weekday session drinking I’d grab a sixer of this. Pours bright copper with light head that quickly dissipates. Nose is of toasted malt. Tastes of malt, biscuits, earth, toast, light caramel, and good old fashion Oktoberfest goodness

From my Asheville, NC, beer log: On tap, malty sweet aroma. Tastes like a marzen, but nothing to distinguish this as standing out from others. Caramel malts and some slight bitterness up front, with a little bit of a watery finish.. Good but forgettable.

12 oz bottle, pours a dark golden color, no real head. Aroma when poured cold is very non-appealing and almost metallic-smelling. When warm, definitely a sweet maltiness is present with some vegetable charater. Taste is very subtle and light, just mildly sweet. Very little bitterness. Body is light with quickly fading carbonation, very mild sweet finish. Very objectionable when consumed cold but not bad at room temperature.
