Pours amber in color with super thin white head and some mild carbonation. Aroma of caramel, spices, malts and bread. Taste of sweet malts, warm bread, mild spices and some grains. Mouthfeel is kind of sweet at first then becomes dry at the finish, This is a pretty good Oktoberfest brew !!!! Soonah (915), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, apricot), with a light note of dried mango.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation.
A fair rendition. A little rough and simple, but ok. BrewDad (2366), Olympia, Washington, USA

Aroma: Nice mild dark malts with a light spice and added aromatic hops.
Appearance: Amber in color, clear with a light head.
Flavor: Has decent malt build with hops and added spices to make this a decent Marzen.
Palate: Dry Finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 3, 2009 12oz. bottle. Slightly opaque golden color topped by a fairly active head that dissipates a bit quickly. Aroma is of bready malt with a faint touch of hay. Flavor is typical for the style, perhaps just a bit too sweet. The hops do appear more fully on the back of the tongue. Mouthfeel seems a little thin to me, but I’ve already been drinking winter seasonals this year! This is a pretty good O-fest, but I’ll stick with the German brewers for the best. carl4beer (400), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA
