jefcon (997), Arlington, Virginia, USA Oct 7, 2006 Clear and light brown, plain in the glass. Very bready aromas with some light caramel. Lots of carbonation/gas on the palate. Kind of thin. Caramel presence and some bready elements, but nothing too exciting. There are many better beers from the good folks at Victory. Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Oct 4, 2006 12oz bottle-Aroma of malt on an amber body with a white head that dissipated quickly. A malty taste with caramel and toffee on the back end. Nice tasting brew. pbjclimber (150), Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 2, 2006 Tap: Pours a mild amber color. Flavor is of some sweet malts with a bit of alcohol and a little bit of hops. This is not a very complex, flavorful, or very good marzen. Louipa (121), USA Oct 2, 2006 Updated: Aug 12, 2007I liked this stuff alot. I like mostly malt stuff. There are some hops in there, not too much. Its very easy to drink. Goes flat quickly so drink it fast... RCL (1444), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Sep 30, 2006 Not my favorite Victory brew by a long shot, but not a bad marzen. Very similar to the Sam Adams O-fest, but with a bit less sweet maltiness and a bit more hops. TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA Sep 25, 2006 Pours a great copper orange with minimal head. Flavor is smooth up front, an even balance of subtle hops and full bodied malt. Body is smooth as well, making this thoroughly drinkable. Flavorable isn’t overly memorable, but it’s great while it lasts. I’m not a big oktoberfest/marzen fan, but this is nice. Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA Sep 22, 2006 Bottled in a pint glass. A bit bitter, mild hops and malts. Transparent coppery color, thin head. A flavorful and enjoyable drinking beer. 1FastSTi (2551), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Sep 18, 2006 Pours to one of the sexiest colors I’ve seen in a beer. It’s a glowing orange sunset. Tall frothy white head. The aroma has a malty spelt pasta thing going on with some corn silage. The flavor is corn silage up front with some nice crisp sweet corn on the finish. Perhaps some maple syrup and ultra toasty malts on the aftertaste. Decent. The palate is medium bodied and easy drinking. Drinkable but nothing really outstanding from the pack. The more I’ve been drinking it, the more it comes off as raw chocolate chip dough in the flavor.
