This not a hopped up dark lager, rather more of a malted smooth drinker. Not too sweet. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Lacing was very nice and the aroma hard to pick up. Flavor was definitely dominated by the malts (caramel) with some hop action going on in the background. Refreshing beer with a decent body, but my bottle experience was noticeably not as good as the draft, which just had a fresher and crisper taste to it. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

Poured golden amber with a smallish head that faded to nothing. Aromas were very faint. Some maltiness but not much. Flavors were better with all that classic oktoberfest malts coming through. Hops were faint and left me with malt in the aftertaste after the hop bite faded. Not my favorite. Takes a lot to impress me in this style
