COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

The first lager I’ve had in a while, and certainly not a disappointment. Victory does a good lager. Muted fruit flavors, like grapes, and maybe even a little smokiness. Medium to light body, very creamy texture, fine bubbles, leaves a little sticky dry on the palate. Hops edging towards a certain sourness, but definitely making a positive appearance.

Color is a deep amber with a thin white head. Taste is decently hoppy for an oktoberfest. Otherwise not too much distinctive flavor to seperate it from other beers of the style. I’d call it above average, makes for a decent session beer for the season.

Color is a very pretty red amber with a maltball-colored light tan head. Faint malty aroma, possibly of wet hay and immature green apples. Medium, chewy body with smooth lightly hopped flavor, but not too flavor overall. A beer suitable for the fall season of warm and cool days: The medium body of fallen leaves and the very light aroma of the impending dry wintry air give it two balanced dimensions that match the changing season. I’d say it’s a great beer to have a few of while sitting around with a couple of old friends while watching the game on a lazy Sunday.

Poured amber with an off white head. Aroma of sweet malt and some hops. Good balance of malt and hops. A tad more malt character. Fruit and spice flavors also present.

Hopless compared to most Victory brews. Amber color. Medium body. Sweet flavor, with malt.

amber color. Smell of malt, hops, graham crackers/ pie crust, minor caramel and pepper. Taste of roasted malt, caramel, pie crust, minor clove & cinnamon and light caramel. Has a vegetable/dirt aftertaste.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was three fingers high and off white with good retention. Not much lace was left behind at the end. Subdued aroma overall with whiffs of husky grain and spicy hops. Slightly sweet on the tongue. Flavor was malt dominated. Mostly cereal grain. There was also a nutty note and dried fruit.

12oz - BB 2/24/08 Nice caramel colored liquid under no real head. Bock like wood notes on nose. Light wood and mild sweetness on the palate. Not their best.
