Commercial Description:
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

12oz bottle. Orange-brown color, filtered. Decent off white head that fades out after a couple of minutes. Amber malt and noble hop aroma. Great balance, this one hits the mark. Smooth and malty with an ever-present hop backdrop. Some crispness upfront, then fades into a mild caramel flavored finish. Subtle, quality beer.

Pours a beautiful copper-amber body with an off-white, lacing head. Smells of caramel and some fresh hops. Flavor is caramel, biscuit, and resin. Finish is not bitter but floral and black tea.

Good beer, but nothing special. The flavors are light as is the aroma. Not the best octoberfest that I have had but it could be worse. Overall it is an average beer. Worth the try.

Bottle poured into the WABL tankard I got in the mail today to start Oktoberfest a little early I guess. Pours clear copper/orange with a small bubbly off-white head. Caramel, fresh grain, yeasty bread, a little bit of earth and grass. Carbonated.

Clear amber, small and short lived watery white head. Caramel aroma, some notes of spruce. Rich with a creamy smoothness, spicy hop midpalate, dry fresh wood finish.

Tap at The Blind Tiger. Poured a light copper color with a very thin head. Nose was light but mostly malty.Nice lager flavor with a solid malt backbone. A good example of the style

Pours dark amber with a 1 finger eggshell head that fades somewhat quickly to a thin skim and ring. Aroma is sweet malt, toasted grain, a little caramel, some earth and dark fruit. Flavor is lots of fresh grain, some caramel, sweet malt, underbaked cookies and some planty notes. Palate is light bodied a little slick and somewhat overcarbonated for the style. This is a decent marzen. I really like the very fresh wholesum grain taste that it starts out with but it lacks follow through.
