3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Nena (957) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 10, 2011
Clear brown, white head. Malty, caramel, nutty, bready aroma. Flavor is pretty similar, sweet malt and nuttiness, a little fruity yeast, a little lingering earthiness.

Not my favorite style of beer although I was expecting a little more from Victory. It’s very smooth at the start but doesn’t leave any lingering flavors for the finish. An ok brew from an otherwise excellent brewery.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 scotchzi (285) - Florida, USA - SEP 7, 2011
Pour is a slight amber without much head. Smell is like burnt old popcorn. Taste is burnt malt with a little citrus.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 bsp77 (724) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 7, 2011
Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Pint glass.
Appearance: Clear coppery-amber, but not very much head or lacing.
Aroma: Integrated mix of biscuit, cherry, caramel and spicy noble hops.
Taste: Toasted biscuit-like malts, with some caramel and cherry to round out the malty flavor. Ends with a light touch of bitter spiciness from the noble hops. Excellent balance and combination of flavors.
Palate: Moderate carbonation, medium crisp body. Dry finish.
Overall: I knew Victory could deliver a solid Marzen, but this was better than expected. Similar to Paulaner, but better executed or perhaps simply fresher.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 madvike (1298) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 2, 2011
Pours clear amber with a slightly rosy tint. Creamy off-white head. Smells of light herbal, almost sour hops above a light nutty malt base. The taste--yep, there it is--nice nuttiness, light toast, a faint herbal note on the finish, and smoooth. If the carbonation wasn’t so jacked up, I could see taking massive swigs of this out of a 2-liter stein. Another solid Victory beer.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PapaSkeetSkeet (555) - Corvallis, Oregon, USA - SEP 1, 2011
Amber. Light bodied. Aroma is grain and an almost fruity lager yeast. Flavor is very light and smooth malt presence with more of the light fruit lager flavor.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 phillybeer7779 (101) - USA - AUG 29, 2011
Perfectly solid lager offering from Victory. Nicely balanced, easy to drink, a solid, but unspectacular example of the style.
