COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

Bottle (12oz). Poured clear amber with basically no head. Aroma of pumpkin, vague slightly sour malt, pretty mild. Taste is a bit harsh, grain, stale hops, some light roast malt - there’s almost a hint of orange juice behind this one - it’s actually quite quenching, in a watery, nicely vegetal, flat way. The weakest Victory I’ve yet had, but still not bad.

Bottle. I love Octoberfests, and this is one of my favorites. Nice amber pour with small head that dissipated quickly. The mouthfeel is very smooth and has just a touch of mild sweetness to it. I’d have no problem drinking this again.

Pours little leasting fizzy head. peach colour. Initially quenching and fruity but soon strong carbonation overwhelms and burns, and sugary sweet finish it doesn’t work for me.

Pour is a copper with a white head. Aroma is malt and that’s about it. Flavor is weak and watery. No hops or malts show up anywhere. A pretty poor offering from a good brewer

Pours clear amber body with medium bubbly off white head. Sweet malt aroma. Light bitter malt, metallic flavor and smooth, thin, watery palate. Not real impressive.

More of a traditional marzen, albeit not their best effort. A little bland. Light sweetness with malt presence. Finishes with some off-bitterness.

On tap at Victory. Pours a translucent amber with no head. Aroma of caramel and sweet malts. Flavor is malts with some hops to provide some bitterness.

Bottle. Pours a medium red/orange with a good frothy head. Aromas of yeasts and malts. Caramel sweetness and malts all come through in the taste. A descent Oktoberfest.

12 oz bottle. Small, fine-bubbled and off-white head tops a light amber-copper, fairly clear body...rather weak, lightly toasty nose...body fairly zingy and hoppy, on the upper end of bitterness for the style I’d say, bit smoky and tarry with very light residual sweetness in the middle, finishing quite bitter and burnt. Not a favorite from this brewer.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2005 Dry, musty, toast aroma with some fruit and slight vinegar. Good label, orange beer. Dry, dry, mildly tart, toasty. some grassy flavors. Almost salty sometimes. Session beer to be sure. Finishes with the same bread and cereal qualities. This was a little indistinct, but I’m sure it’s great with food.
