COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

355ml brown bottle, pours cloudy copper colored with a small frothy beige head, that reduced quickly. Aroma of caramel, toffee, orange zest and bread. Flavours of caramel, toffee, orange zest, spices and bread. Taste is light-medium sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium-light bodied, smooth texture and average carbonation. Victory Festbier is great for the style, flavorful with plenty of malts, maybe slightly too sweet.

Aroma: Toasty, bready malts with caramel glaze. Fairly spicy hop presence; sweet potatoes? Appearance: Dark copper pour with a foamy tan head that settles into a patchy ring, nice; natural looking carbonation. Flavor: Very malty as you’d expect, but almost something here reminiscent of a pumpkin beer. Not bad, but unexpected. Quite spicy, almost like some rye addition (surely not!) but that’s what keeps coming to mind; pumpernickel like. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: Hmm. It’s a tasty beer, but something seems odd to me. Strange.

Bottled from Systembolaget Amber with a small head. Red berries and some sourish notes of vinegar in the aroma. A bit sourish flavour as we’ll with red currant and yeasty notes.

Nice taste. Good and malty but a little lacking in the aroma. Looks good and would drink again.

Bottle @ home. Red amber color. Sweet aroma of caramel, bread, oranges, notes of toffee, spices and red fruits. Smooth oily texture, medium bodied, with med-high carbonation. Sweet flavor with caramel, red fruits, oranges. Drier lightly roasted and nutty finish with grassy bitterness.
