This is my first Oktoberfest beer of the season, I bought this since one of my friends said it was good so hopefully I’ll like it! 12 ounce bottle, label says enjoy by Jan 2, 2012. Served in a mug, the beer pours a clear amber/orange color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is toasted and bready malt, nuts, and a bit of spicy hops. The brew tastes mostly like toasted malt and nuts, with some bready malt and light spicy hops noticable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s smooth and easy to drink with moderate carbonation. Not a bad brew at all, I’d definitely buy this one again. It’s one of the better Oktoberfest brews I’ve had.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 BillWyce (302) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 26, 2011
From notes: poured a coppery color with a small white head that was gone quickly. Mild biscuity yeast aroma, didn’t really get any of the malt. Palate is medium, nicely balanced. Taste was sweet malt mixed with biscuity yeast, mild earthy, grassy note in the finish. Nothing special, but worth drinking.

Clear copper color in the glass. Nice, smooth mouthfeel. Caramel malty sweetness with bread and biscuit notes. Great marzen beer.

Draft sample at the brewery. I’ve had this brew many times in the past, but must drink again to rate. A good tasting Oktoberfest brew, I know it’s that time of year again. I remember when these beers came out only in October. Smooth tasting light bodied German style beer, not a lot going on here, but worth drinking. Standard Oktoberfest beer.

This was alright, copper orange colors. Malt all the way through, very little hops in aroma or taste. light bodies. it was smooth but just tasted of german malts and was one dimensional.
