Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

No readable bottling information.
Appearance: The body is a clear reddish amber with light amounts of carbonation in the body, the head is thin and light tan with average retention, it’s just a light coating on top now.
Aroma: Fruity esters are prominent upon swirling, with a light floral backing, not much malt presence.
Taste: Light malt sweetness throughout, some light toasted malts, mild hop presence, and light fruity esters. This is very mild and balanced.
Palate: Medium bodied with light to medium carbonation.
Overall: This is a solid Oktoberfest, one of the better American ones more similar to authentic German ones like Ayinger.

Pretty standard marzen. Not bad by any means. Malty, sweet, delicious. Not sure if I'd buy this over a Paulaner. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. 12/13/15 code date. Appearance: light brown with reddish hue, clear, with light off white foam cap. Aroma: Bready and caramel maltiness. Light toast. Taste: Rich bready and caramel malt sweetness, light toast, and low hop bitterness Mouthfeel: medium to high body for the style, with a light carbonation. A little syrup like. Finish: Bready caramel sweetness lingers. Overall: A very malty sweet marzen with caramel as opposed to the more traditional toasted, bready versions. Closer to Sam Adams Ofest than tradional marzens.

EBD 12/17/15. Pours a clear medium amber with a beautiful garnet hue. Normal head volume, lacing and retention. Light nose of caramel with hints of grainy biscuit. Light medium body with a smooth texture. Superb carbonation with a fair amount of effervescence in the middle and a nice prickly burst in the finish. The flavor profile is very good, but not typical for a marzen. Like the color, it has a heavier dark malt character that speaks more to toasted chocolate malt rather than caramel. It begins with toasted, nutty and grainy malt with almost no sweetness. The middle brings an earthy hop flavor with a very light bitterness and only a subtle sweetness, which lacks caramel character. The finish is semi-dry and has a slow fade of herbal and earthy hop flavor. As it warms, sweetness does become more noticeable.

A darker, heavier lager than I expected, but very good. Initial taste is chocolatey and smooth. Has a coffee like taste for a finish. Slight alcohol warm on the tail. Very taste if in the mood for a dark, slow drinking brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark amber/brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma: Bready, earthy. Taste: Earthy graininess to it, followed by a nice, round maltiness. Lingering hop bitterness and dry finish. Medium modied with unobtrusive carbonation. Overall a nice malt-dominated Oktoberfest. One I tend to get every year.

Aroma caramel, bread, cereal, dough, Appearance amber, clear, tan foam, Taste medium sweetness, Palate light body, Overall almost a coffee taste to this beer. It is definitely different from the rest of the oktoberfest beers so just for that reason I would suggest this beer to a friend
