Sep 27, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep copper color with a creamy beige head. Aroma is caramel malt and biscuit. Fairly heavy in body and leaves you feeling a bit full. Flavor is caramel malt, a hint of fruit, and a hint of hop in the finish.

Oct 26, 2006 Clear brown witha slight orange tint and a small white head which fades very quickly. Bready, malty aroma with some slight grassiness and a mild spicy hop note. Fairly even balance of doughy malts and noble hops. Very thin and watery body with a tingly carbonation.

Dec 24, 2008 This is a fantastic Oktoberfest. Smooth with a little bit of body and it goes down great. Sweet caramel and balanced hop tones make the finish great just like the rest of the beer.

Sep 3, 2008 Updated: Mar 9, 2009Bottle, pilsner glass. Pours an amber orange. Scant head leaves a temporary, spotty lacing. Aromas of malt and wet earth. On the first sip, the earthiness hits first: the impression is squash-like, zucchini perhaps. Sweet malts and orange zest are in there, too, but surprisingly for a marzen, lost in the carbonated sensations and general earthiness.
