2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from the bottle with a nice creamy head which quickly dissipated and left no lacing. Lots of malt flavor but this wasn’t the worst Oktoberfest/Märzen that I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t the best either. I guess maybe I expect too much from Victory because they really brew some awesome beers.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tastes like a spice rack, medium bodied, malty with slight lager aftertaste. Very good. Very fall.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From my Asheville, NC, beer log: On tap, malty sweet aroma. Tastes like a marzen, but nothing to distinguish this as standing out from others. Caramel malts and some slight bitterness up front, with a little bit of a watery finish.. Good but forgettable.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle. First of the season for me, pours an amber hue. Not much going on with the aroma, a little malt some sweetness nothing overwhelming. The marzen is pretty standard, not great, but I’d drink it over sam adams and harpoon. A bit malty with a thin palate.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a luminous red with a thin fizzy head that dissipates to a thin, clumpy lace. Aromas of caramel and spice. Flavors are caramel, brown sugar, roasted malts, spice and biscuit. Slight herbal tones. Dry finish. Thin, highly carbonated mouthfeel. Not very memorable.

Solid Oktoberfest, a bit sweeter than most out there, definitely tastes more like a lager than most, some spice notes in there as well, nice beer for fall, nice version of the style....worth a try
