3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: A deep amber when poured with a quickly dissipating off white head. Very spicy at the nose and malty on the palate. Finishes well with a nice sweet aftertaste that I couldn’t quite figure out.
Looking forward to it on tap.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had it on tap. Good to have Märzens back again. It’s a sweet, malty example. Very tasty, great fall beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear amber pour with a tan head. Smells of bread and sweet malt. Taste includes biscuit and a little caramel. Finishes with a slightly metallic aftertaste. Pretty much what you would expect for a Märzen.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From Growler. Bought @ Victory Brewing. Pours nice golden copper color. Nice thick foamy white head, that nicely laced the glass half way down. Aroma is malty and sweet. Flavor is malty, with some caramel hints for sweetness, with a touch of grassy hop flavor comes through in the back. Slight spice taste. Nice balance. Could easily have a couple of these. Full bodied. Thick mouthfeel. Carbonation just right.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not a bad october. Good malty flavors decent hop undertones. Only negative is how heavy this brew is. It really fills you up.

12 oz. Bottle @ Dchmela’s house. Thanks Dave. Merry Christmas.
Great deep golden pour almost copper like. Nice fluffy head out of this bottle. Fresh crisp lightly bitter. Grassy but in a great way. Enjoy!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I’ve found some of victory’s beers to be a little to thin for the syle before, but I think that actually works for them here. Too often american octoberfests are too malty, from excess munich and crystal malts, to the point where they are hard to drink. This one is orange-amber, small white head. Very smooth malty flavor, appropriately hopped. Easy drinking and enjoyable with a smooth finish. Tastes like what I would expect a good german O-fest that’s still fresh would taste like.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nutty, slightly bready aroma with milld, floral hops and some malted grain. It pours a light mahogany without much of a head. The mouthfeel is more vigorous than the beer visually portends. The taste is gentle, nutty malts and a nice hop bitterness. Nice and sessionable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a deep amber with moderate head and light lacing. Aroma was of slightly sweet malts with a slight fruity background. Taste was primarily malts upfront with a slight tanginess and mild/moderate hop finish. Palate was decent. Overall a nice Octoberfest/Marzen.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle poured into the WABL tankard I got in the mail today to start Oktoberfest a little early I guess. Pours clear copper/orange with a small bubbly off-white head. Caramel, fresh grain, yeasty bread, a little bit of earth and grass. Carbonated.
