3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Solid Oktoberfest, a bit sweeter than most out there, definitely tastes more like a lager than most, some spice notes in there as well, nice beer for fall, nice version of the style....worth a try

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle into pint glass. Pours a clear copper with amber hues. Initially a one finger off-white head that leaves a bit of spotty lacing. Very malty aroma of caramel, roasted almonds, fresh grains, biscuits, and wheat bread. Even getting a good amount of grassy hops in the nose. Taste is heavy toasted caramel malts up front with wheat, bitter earthy hops, and doughy bread. Long, lingering finish of toasty caramel malts. Clean and crisp. Medium bodied, slick texture, slightly higher than average carbonation. Highly drinkable. This is Oktoberfest done right! Maybe not the defining Oktoberfest beer, but should certainly be in the top 10 of any Oktoberfest best of lists.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
aromas of slight noble hop spice, malts, and slight creamy yeast. Tastes of malt with some indeterminate grain aspect hiding underneath that leaves a sort of biscuit-like aftertaste in the mouth. crisp slightly hoppy finish leaves the palate clean.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The first lager I’ve had in a while, and certainly not a disappointment. Victory does a good lager. Muted fruit flavors, like grapes, and maybe even a little smokiness. Medium to light body, very creamy texture, fine bubbles, leaves a little sticky dry on the palate. Hops edging towards a certain sourness, but definitely making a positive appearance.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a nic copper but with minimal head and no retention. Aromas of Carmel malts, wet bread. Sweet on the nose and taste. A bit thin in the mouth. Taste is bready as is the finish. Typical of the style.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nutty, slightly bready aroma with milld, floral hops and some malted grain. It pours a light mahogany without much of a head. The mouthfeel is more vigorous than the beer visually portends. The taste is gentle, nutty malts and a nice hop bitterness. Nice and sessionable.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz. Pretty sad looking pour, nice copper amber hue but a thin head that is gone in 10 seconds. Soft, disappointing carbonation, but a malty body that saves this one from a total loss. Not the worst Maerzen I’ve had, but I would like to see a better pour with more complexity.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Ar: Deep caramel, sweet apples, some toasty malt, hay.
Ap: Orange-amber, crystal-clear - small off-white head with moderate retention and a light wisp of foam.
T: Toasted malt, a touch of sweetness - lots of apple and a solid grip of medium caramel - bitterness is medium-low - apple tannin lingers in finish, somewhat harsh.
P: Medium body with medium-high carbonation - finish is dry.
O: This beer seems like it could be nice, but the apple flavor just dominates and gets in the way.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a luminous red with a thin fizzy head that dissipates to a thin, clumpy lace. Aromas of caramel and spice. Flavors are caramel, brown sugar, roasted malts, spice and biscuit. Slight herbal tones. Dry finish. Thin, highly carbonated mouthfeel. Not very memorable.
