Commercial Description:
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

Candied malt aroma, orange hue, good sized custard head. Distinctive malt flavour, good hops also. Nicely balanced, pleasantly sweet, some breadiness too. Fairly good. Thanks mds.

Courtesy of Sea Bass. Pours clear copper with gold edges and thin off white head. The aroma is sweet lager type malts, rich Munich grainy malts, moderate roasted malts and corn. The taste is rich maltiness with Munich malts, caramel, caraMunich, biscuit and some nuttiness. Wow, great malty brew.

A solid, respectable Victory product. If not a total victory, this beer is at least a draw. Reminiscent of Gordon Biersch’s Okto, but less aromatic.

Bottle from Hackomal over on the other site. Thanks! Pours bright golden amber with a thin head. The aroma is sweet and toasty with hints of earthy hops. Caramel, toast with a earthy grass/peppery finish. Pretty true to style IMO.

Clear amber, moderate white head. Straighforward caramel malt aroma and flavour, with a hint of fruit (cherries?). Surprisingly average, coming from Victory.

Re-rated on tap at the Legend Fest: Clear light brown body with a thin off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma. Sweet dark malt and caramel flavor. Original Rating: Aroma had some cheesy hints, and the flavor was dominated by a powdered cheese flavor, very much like that in a box of mac and cheese. Possibly some sort of infection, but i’ve yet to experience a cheesy infection. 5/3/5/3/9

Coppery reddish orange, just the mere-est stain of an off white head. Toasty, vaguely sweet aroma. Toasty, grainy, with a mellow caramel flavor. Nice, woodsy, crisp finish.
