Commercial Description:
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

From Growler. Bought @ Victory Brewing. Pours nice golden copper color. Nice thick foamy white head, that nicely laced the glass half way down. Aroma is malty and sweet. Flavor is malty, with some caramel hints for sweetness, with a touch of grassy hop flavor comes through in the back. Slight spice taste. Nice balance. Could easily have a couple of these. Full bodied. Thick mouthfeel. Carbonation just right.

Brown bottle, 12 ounces, gift from Ian Guénard, savoured on August 13 2008; eye: copper, clear, no effervescence, tan head that disappears completely, no lacing; nose: caramelized malt is dominant, light resinous hops, light grapefruit; mouth: fizzy at the start but average carbonation follows through, caramel malt, light hops, pepper, finale in caramel malt where the hops make a surprise appearance, smooth, velvety, lightly sweet, slightly bitter, medium body; overall: below my expectations FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 12 onces, 5,6 %, cadeau de Ian Guénard, savourée le 13 août 2008; œil : cuivrée, claire, pas d’effervescence, mousse fauve qui disparaît complètement, pas de dentelle; nez : malt caramélisé dominant, léger houblon résineux, léger pamplemousse; bouche : pétillante en début mais carbonatation moyenne par la suite, malt caramel, léger houblon, poivre, finale en malt caramel où le houblon fait une apparition surprise, coule bien, velouté, légèrement sucrée, très légèrement amère, corps moyen; en résumé : en deçà de mes attentes

On tap at Victory- Poured amber red with a small head and some lacing. Misty pour, hops and caramel up front. Refreshing, smooth and a good balance, helped calm the bitterness of the Storm King.

This amber pour has a sweet malt nose. It is malty and smooth with a little bit of a hop bite. There was nothing great or bad about it.

From the bottle, pours a clear dark red with a small but decent off white head. Deep malty aroma, taste is similar. A little watery. Meh, really not my favorite. I had higher hopes for this beer.

Pours a light amber with a small white film head. Aroma is lightly sweet grain, grass and a some sweet candy. Flavor is light malt although the hops come through more in the finish. Thin body, light creamy texture. Finishes somewhat short and astringent.
