COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

Tap at Barcade. I really enjoyed this beer. I think, though, that this beer style is a bit undervalued by many raters. Obviously this doesn’t match up against an imperial stout. This beer was well-balanced between the hops and malts and had a smooth finish. Pleasant aftertaste. Great sessioner.

Great on tap at the source. Nice balance of malts, very smooth and palatable, as are most at Victory.

Crystal clear copper with a light tan head (all a bit darker than most Oktoberfest lagers I’m used to). Aroma is very much like an Oktoberfest, but the beer itself is richer and more caramelly than most German versions. Definitely has the round, smooth mouthfeel of an Oktoberfest. Tasty and drinkable American version of Oktoberfest.

Pours a dark brown with a nice, sturdy tan head and good lacing. Smell is doughy bread with some night, light fruit and caramel touches to it. Taste is similar, with a nice sweet maltiness coming through. I really like the balance they’ve struck between the flavors, as well as the overall intensity. Mouthfeel is nice, creamy, and rich without being filling. Drinkability is very nice. I believe this is my favorite American version of the style to date. Clear burnt orange with a nice lasting cap. Big dry malty aroma of biscuits and toffee, with some sort of earthy funkiness I cannot put my finger on. Flavor is nice and full but on a medium body. Big malty toffee and biscuit malts, with some dry mustard-like tone. A very malty and slightly bitter oktoberfest, sweet on the start and dry on the middle-finish, as it should be. Pure autumnal goodness.

355ml bottle. A very deep amber orange colour with a great aroma packed full of maltiness with hints of butterscotch, vanilla and caramel.Thick in the mouth with good texture and body. Light on the palate and an all round goo beer.

Bottle 330ml from the local taphouse. Nice malty beer, with hoppy notes. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, with hints of cola and also herbs. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and average length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a thin head.

Best by January 13 2014, printed very small near the neck - almost wipes off. Pours out a rich amber color with tan head. Smells like sweet bready malts, sour dough, herbal and earthy hops. Taste is bready almost doughy, some caramel, with a clean noble hop finish. Also getting some raisins. Mouthfeel is rich and full but not too heavy; sessionable. Overall this is one of the better Oktoberfest beers I've had from anywhere. Honestly Id rather drink a fresh unpasteurized American version than take a gamble on an imported one. Not my favorite beer style but worth a visit in September during "Oktoberfest". ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A deep amber color with a finger width head. Smelled of indistinct spices, fruit, and bread. A spicy.. slight pumpkin flavor. An overall good October fest style beer.
