Bottle. Strong grainy malt and caramel aroma. Copper color with small head. Caramel and strong barley malt flavor with a mild hops finish. A very nice festbier - I really like the flavor of the malt in this beer, and it has much more body than most beers in this style.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2007 I liked this stuff alot. I like mostly malt stuff. There are some hops in there, not too much. Its very easy to drink. Goes flat quickly so drink it fast...

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Bright white micro head recedes at a medium pace to hug rim. Caramel and candy corn aromas. Soft with caramel from front to back. Lasting malt finish. A great Oktoberfest session beer. Next.

This is Victory’s traditional Oktoberfest beer, though they are now calling the Zeltbier an Oktiberfest beer as well. This one is much more traditional, pouring a rich deep amberl/chestnit with a medium white head. Nose is fresh cracked grains, toasted chestnut, light and fresh German hops. Mouth is fresh toasted grains upfront, just a light roasty touch, with fresh pilsner hops and a nice subtle nutty quality. Crisp and tight, good tight body with lush tingling carbonation. Some light barley sweetness and a good dark bread. I don’t think this will blow anyone away but it’s a super example of this style, very simple but really well done.

Deep copper body with amber hues. Soft ecru head, a tad thin. Sweet caramel malt backbone with sugar cookie notes and hints of peach and nectarine. Grassy hop component with light resin character and orange citrus. Great autumn session brew - will be picking up a case for football saturday.

12 oz Bottle -- Pours orange-amber with a medium light khaki head. Aromas of roasted malt, squash, caramel, and hops. More hops present than other Oktoberfest beers but is not bitter. Soft and smooth mouth-feel yet feels very rich. Great malt character with a good balance.

A- Brew is pretty much what you would expect a good o-fest to look like. Clear nutty brown body with some bubbles that can be seen rising to the top. Head pours with about 2 fingers and is slightly off-white. fades to 1 finger and retains well from there. Leaves lacing all the way down the glass.
S- Nose is a great mix of soft piny hops and caramel/German malt. Nice.
T- Taste is very similar to the smell. Mild flavor upfront but caramel malt is defiantly the main character along with a mild German (can’t put my finger on what type) malt. The finish adds a faint touch of piny hop flavor to the initial flavors but is very clean. Nothing lingers on the palate.
P- Medium carbonation and a nice, lightweight O-fest body.
O- This is a nice O-fest. I bought this last year but made bread with it rather than drinking it (good bread too). It has a nice hop character to it and had the nice caramel malt flavor that I like. Good, very drinkable beer.

Sweet aroma with distinct cola nose accenting cereal malt base flavors and robust German hop flavor charge. Bitter enough to counterbalance slight sweetness, though still very clean flavor. I also get touches of cherry and smoke (not muddled as from yeast, but flavor notes from specialty grain I’d guess). It is large and festive, pushing the style. Hard to rate appearance, since I drank from bottle during World Series Game 1.

Spice, cherry and bread on the nose. Taste has a nice bread cracker like finish w/some fruitiness. Super clean and tasty.

A good, malty, Octoberfest beer. Fairly typical of the style, but good quality nonetheless.
