COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

Draft at ncbc. Pours a clear dark amber with a loose creamy tan head. Mild artichokey nose, mixed with old wet leaves and stale tobacco. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Artichoke and old wet leaves on the mid palate. Neutral finish.

Amber color with a tannish head and a nice malty aroma. This has a nice malty, caramel tatse with a medium bodied sensation lingering on the palate.

Backlog rating 2-06-2009 (Bottle) This beer pours a small very fizzy off-white head that quickly dissipated, transparent body, fast rising carbonation, no lacing, and the body has an orange hue. The Aroma consists of malt, caramel, fruit, and hops. The Taste is malty, hoppy, fruity, and sweet. The Palate is slightly tingly and this is a light-medium bodied beer. All-in-all, this beer is easy to drink, nothing complex about this beer, rather boring to drink and not a beer that I will drink again.

12 oz Bottle. Victory is one of my favorite brewers. The beer pours a clear amber color with a small head that disappeared. The aroma was of sweet caramel malt. The taste of sweet caramel and some fruit. The beer has light body with soft carbonation. The finish is of sweet caramel and some fruity flavors and no hops.

Bottle, eh not too impressed. Amber color, funky aroma. Malt flavor, with some spice to it. Not much of a finish. Forgettable.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed 10/20/2012. Pours a copper color and leaves the same colored body that yields a soapy half inch white head with a concave clingy lacing riding along the sides of the pint glass. Though the body is extremely clear, no carbonation is seen rising. The smell has some roasted malt with some super light spice and herbal notes with a bit of hay or rye even lighter and perhaps the faintest of all smells of this beer. The taste is sweet with a decent dose of caramel presence backed up nicely by some toffee and the roasted malts. Once again, there are some super light spices and herbal notes. That hay/rye thing I guess was only in the smell, no worries. On the palate, it sits about a medium and is slightly sticky with nothing harsh on the tongue. I would say this is a fairly drinkable beer. Overall, this is a decent brew that I would probably have again, perhaps not one I’d purposely seek out, but maybe the next time I’d have this, I’d have it on tap.

Nothing special about this one. A little malty, and for some reason a bit of fruit in there as well.

Poured from the bottle with a nice creamy head which quickly dissipated and left no lacing. Lots of malt flavor but this wasn’t the worst Oktoberfest/Märzen that I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t the best either. I guess maybe I expect too much from Victory because they really brew some awesome beers.

Perfectly amber coloured with a thin off-white head which dissapears fast. Smells of barley, malt and a little hop. The taste is very smooth, and somewhat bland. This isn't a bad representation of the marzen style, but not the best i've seen. Worth trying if you've had Sam Adam's or Pete's and haven't been satisfied. Nothing in the aftertaste, either.

Pours a clear orangy color with a robust light yellow head. Start is very smooth without much going on. End has a mild sweetness to it, and some mild hoppiness. The palate is perfect for this beer, but the beer itself is soft of a downer. Granted, the style isn't a very complex style. A very drinkable beer that goes down easy, although not too complex.
